NCRI – The committee of Friends of a Free Iran in Sweden urged the government to endorse a recently adopted resolution of the European Parliament and a statement by Amnesty International regarding the humanitarian situation in Ashraf City in Iraq.
Ashraf City in Diyala province in eastern Iraq has been the home of thousands of members of the main Iranian opposition group, The People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) for more than 20 years.
