Iran: Coronavirus Death Toll In 541 Cities Exceeds 273,200

• Rouhani blatantly blamed the people for the Coronavirus crisis again, saying: “If we face the fifth virus outbreak, it’s because the health protocols have not been observed.”

• Alireza Raisi, the spokesperson for the National Coronavirus Combat Taskforce (NCCT): Six provinces of Tehran, Alborz, Qazvin, South Khorasan, Hormozgan, and Sistan and Baluchestan are likely to reach the peak of the disease in the coming days. The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on Saturday, May 1, 2021, that the Coronavirus death toll in 541 cities had exceeded 273,200. The number of victims in Tehran has reached 62,771, Isfahan 17,910, Khorasan Razavi 17,055, Khuzestan 16,674, Mazandaran 11,390, East Azerbaijan 11,183, West Azerbaijan 10,213, Gilan 9,511, Fars 8,444, Alborz 7,153, Sistan and Baluchestan 6,251, Hamedan 6,173, Kerman 6,154, Central Province 5,718, Semnan 4,820, Kurdistan 4,732, Ardabil 3,452, Qazvin 3,179, Hormozgan 3,175, Bushehr 2,844, South Khorasan 2,676, and Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari 2,230.
