Maryam Rajavi calls on US Government and EU to end killings in Ashraf

She called on US Government to instruct the American hospital near Ashraf to treat the wounded

NCRI – Maryam Rajavi, President elect of the Iranian Resistance, described killing of the defenseless Ashraf residents at the hands of the aggressive forces of Nouri al-Maliki a crime against humanity and a war crime.  “A crime that the Iraqi dictator has committed at the behest of Khamenei, the bloodthirsty supreme leader of the Iranian regime,” said Mrs. Rajavi.

While paying tribute to the Martyrs of Ashraf as the numbers are rising by the hour, Mrs. Rajavi described the heroic perseverance by the residents of Ashraf, members of the PMOI, against the vicious attack, the epic of defending freedom and integrity of the Iranian people against aggression of dictatorship and fascism.

The American government, the European Union and the United Nations were informed and knew very well since five days ago in detail about military movements and oppressive measures that were being conducted for aggression and massacre; thus they are directly responsible in failing to prevent it, Mrs. Rajavi reiterated, adding, “Such silence and inaction against bloodshed and viciousness of a bloodthirsty dictator who takes orders from the theocratic fascism ruling Iran are not justified, especially when the American government has given written commitment to each and every one of Ashraf residents regarding their protection and it is now has to be held accountable.”

Mrs. Rajavi called on human rights organizations and personalities, parliamentarians and those publicly elected in different countries of the world to protest and insist on immediate action by the American government and the European Union to stop the massacre.

Mrs. Rajavi called on American government to instruct the American hospital near Ashraf to treat the wounded as there are no facilities inside Ashraf to attend those wounded due to medical blockade since the beginning of 2009.
