In the meantime, the khabaronline website, affiliated to the Iranian regime, reported today that “Ayad Alawi’s mother is a Lebanese and not an Iraqi, therefore he cannot become the Prime Minister of Iraq.”
In a report last night, al-Maliki’s Afaq TV claimed: “The international company assigned by the United Nations to prepare a computer program for counting ballots is affiliated to the terrorist People’s Mojahedin Organization … which has linked the electoral commission’s data banks together in Baghdad. This enables the company to monitor and control the data banks from a remote location.”
Simultaneously, the clerical regime fabricated a false report through its agents in 9 Badr Brigade of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claiming, “We are extremely worried about reports indicating that the PMOI that has provided the communication and computer system to the Iraqi electoral commission, has had the opportunity to have a negative impact on the results against the election lists that sought their expulsion from Iraq.” (Kurdish aknews, March 22)
Subsequently, mullahs' affiliated websites such as Kowthar and Burathanews.com (belonged to an agent of the regime), Nahrainnet.net (owned by Mowaffaq al-Rubaie, former Iraqi government National Security Advisor), websites affiliated to al-Maliki (including, Doroob.com, al-Moshqef, Qanoon, al-Badil, Manbar al-Iraqi and aljewar.org) and tens of other websites of the regime have reported the ridiculous story.
Clearly, the purpose of spreading such lies on the orders of mullahs' Supreme Leader is to explain and justify al-Maliki's defeat, take revenge on Ashraf residents and pave the way for repeat of crimes against humanity in Ashraf, especially when the Iraqi electoral comission has rejected al-Maliki's call for a recount of votes.
The Iranian Resistance draws the attention of the United Nations Secretary General and his special representative for Iraq as well as the American officials, U.S. forces, European Union, European Parliament and international human rights organizations, particularly the UN Fact Finding Mission in Geneva to the misinformation campaign against Camp Ashraf residents and calls for prosecution of the campaign’s perpetrators.
