Executions Continue on Khamenei’s Orders, Coinciding with the Massacre of Protesters in the Dey Uprising
Concurrent with the brutal suppression and killing of youths during the nationwide uprising, the Iranian regime has executed at least 345 prisoners in 57 cities across 31 provinces in the Persian month of Dey 1404 (December 22, 2025- January 20, 2026). The provinces of Razavi Khorasan with 42 executions, Khuzestan with 29, Isfahan with 23, Lorestan with 21, Fars with 17, and Kerman with 16 had the highest number of executions. This month’s execution total is approximately three times that of Dey 1403 (117), 3.5 times that of Dey1402 (101), and five times that of Dey 1401 (65).
On Tuesday, January 20, eight prisoners were hanged: Mardan Saedi in Birjand, Foroud Sagvand in Khaf, Kamran Ghiasvand in Ilam, Mikail Bahari in Borazjan, Nader Eini in Bam, Mobin Golmohammadi in Yazd, Sirous Meshkini in Jiroft, and Rastin Majidi in Ahvaz.
On Monday, January 19, nine prisoners, including one woman, were hanged: Iman Neyri in Kerman, Goodarz Barzegar in Kashan, Faramarz Amuzad in Nowshahr, Bahram Hassanpour in Saveh, Kiarash Langroudi in Zanjan, Kabir Akhlaghi in Gorgan, Navid Jabbari in Neyshabur, Alireza Barani in Dorud, and Kimia Khani in Isfahan.
On Sunday, January 18, fourteen prisoners were hanged: Yazdan Mardanpour in Kermanshah, Fereydoun Goudarzi in Aligudarz, Pouya Najafi in Dezful, Bijan Shahrokhi in Khorramabad, Akbar Ganji in Nahavand, Ali-Asghar Shahi in Yasuj, Shiroudeh Maghsoudi in Borujerd, Asad Salahshour in Semnan, Eshaq Niyazi in Arak, Susha Abdi in Hamedan, Abdolhossein Yari in Karaj, Mostafa Koushki and another prisoner in Qom, and the 22-year-old Kian Manouchehri in Yazd.
On Saturday, January 17, Afshin Jabbari, 30, Kheirullah Goljani, and Kamran Manafi were hanged in Qazvin, Malek Kave’i in Bandar Abbas, Yarmorad Bakhshi in Ardabil, and Aboutaleb Gholami in Tabriz.
Thus, in the first 10 months of the Persian year 1404 (March 2025 – January 2026), at least 2,174 people have been executed by the clerical regime.
Although regime supreme leader Ali Khamenei will not cease killings until his last day, the recent uprising and the fiery attacks by rebellious youths have demonstrated that the Iranian people have found the path to rid themselves of the medieval clerical regime. Neither unjust courts and gallows, nor opening fire with machine guns and DShKs heavy machine guns on the defiant populace, nor internet shutdowns will save this faltering regime.
