Public execution of a prisoner in Rasht
The execution and killing machine of the religious fascism ruling Iran continues unabated; on May 31 and June 1 alone, at least 18 prisoners were sent to the gallows.
On Sunday, May 31, 12 prisoners were hanged. These included Parviz Valizadeh, 27, in Zanjan; Aslan Amiri, 33, in Arak; and 10 prisoners in Shiraz. Among the victims in Shiraz were Saeed Dehghanzadeh, Borzou Mousavizadeh, 30, Abbas Bayat, 30, Ali Akbar Sarabi-Moghadam, Salar Sheikhi, 29, three Baluch compatriots named Mohammad Osman Daneh-chin, Mohammad Sediq Baluchi, and Qader Khodamoradi, and two Afghan nationals.
On Monday, June 1, six prisoners were executed. Aside from the two rebellious youths previously reported, the other victims are Morteza Sadeghzadeh in Damghan, Hassan Tahmasebi and Kouhyar Abbasi in Qorveh, and Behnam Nemati, 38, who was hanged in public with utmost brutality in Rasht.
The Iranian Resistance calls on the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, the Human Rights Council, and other relevant United Nations bodies, as well as all human rights organizations, to decisively condemn these criminal executions. It demands that the continuation and expansion of relations with this medieval regime be made contingent on a halt to executions and torture.
