855 executions in the first six months of 1404 (Mar 21 – Sep 22, 2025), including 29 women — 220% more than the executions in the first six months of 1403 (Mar 20 – Sep 21, 2024)

Ali Khamenei, the Iranian regime’s Supreme Leader, in the final phase of his decaying regime, is breaking his own records in executions and killings and, in fear of a popular uprising, increases the number of executions every month.
On Sunday, Sep 21, 2025, the executioners sent at least 13 prisoners to the gallows. As a result, the number of executions in the Persian month of Shahrivar, as recorded by the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) up to Sep 24, 2025, has reached 190 individuals. This number is 264% higher than the 72 executions in Shahrivar 1403 (Aug 22 – Sep 21, 2024) and 760% higher than the 25 executions in Shahrivar 1402 (23 Aug – Sep 22, 2023). 190 executions in a single month is unprecedented in the past three decades.
The number of executions in the first six months of the Persian year 1404 (Mar 21 – Sep 22, 2025), based on reports verified by the PMOI, has reached 855 individuals — including 29 female prisoners and five juvenile offenders who were under 18 at the time of the alleged crimes. During this period, six prisoners were hanged in public in acts of extreme brutality.
Khamenei has also begun the month of Mehr (starting Sep 23, 2025) with a wave of executions. On Wednesday, Sep 24, 2025, simultaneous with the speech of regime President Masoud Pezeshkian at the UN General Assembly, a large number of prisoners were executed. Eight of them are: Farshad Geravand, Ahmadreza Geravand, Meysam Karami, and a prisoner named Amir in Ghezel Hesar; Ali Keshavarz and Ahmad Bakhtiar in Isfahan; Kamran Ramin Amirzendegani and Arya Soltani in Shiraz. The names of the other executed individuals will be announced after verification.
On Sunday, Sep 21, 2025, Jameh Shourani (27 years old) and Hadi Nowruzi in Kermanshah, Mojtaba Mahdavi and Emad Keshvari and a prisoner named Ahmadi in Taybad, Mohammad Beqlani in Borazjan, and Mousa Alizadeh (28 years old) in Isfahan were executed. The names of six other prisoners had been mentioned in a previous statement.
Silence and inaction in the face of the murderers of the Iranian people is fueling terrorism and warmongering. This regime must be expelled from the international community, and its leaders must be brought to justice for 46 years of crimes against humanity and genocide.
