On February 8, the mullahs’ henchmen in Isfahan’s Dastgerd prison summoned Mr. Mehran Moini, a political prisoner and sympathizer of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI), to the security office of the ward, and after putting cuffs on his hands and feet, transferred him to an unknown location in Hamedan prison.
Ms. Mah-Jabin Hajiloui, the mother of Massoud Hajiloui, one of the PMOI members residing in Ashraf City, Iraq, is in critical conditions. Both her eyes have been seriously damaged after the regime’s agents gave her an injection. She is also suffering enormously from asthma.
The regime’s henchmen have also abducted one of Ms. Hajiloui’s sons, Abbas. The Hajiloui family’s inquiries about Abbas’s whereabouts have gone unheeded, and there is no information or clues about where he is at this time.
There is also no information about Mr. Mansour Radpour, another political prisoner who last month was transferred to solitary confinement in Gohardasht prison’s ward 8, which is known as the ward run by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Prior to this, he was incarcerated at the notorious cells known as Sagdani (dog house) in Gohardasht prison. The regime’s agents from the Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) had arrested Mr. Radpour on May 17, 2007 in the city of Karaj, 40 kilometer west of Tehran.
Ms. Masoumeh Mansouri has once again been tried by the regime’s henchmen on charges of “fighting against the government.” The reason for her arrest is her inquiries about her father’s condition, Mr. Mohammad-Ali Mansouri, who was arrested during a gathering on the nineteenth anniversary of the 1988 massacre of political prisoners, and later subjected to extreme torture. He is currently incarcerated in Evin’s ward 350.
Mr. Ali Saremi, 60, and Mr. Mohammad-Hassan Fallahieh-Zadeh, both political prisoners, have been transferred to solitary confinement in ward 240, one of the most notorious wards in Tehran’s Evin prison, and face intolerable conditions. Moreover, in ward 350 of Evin prison, the warden who is a henchman identified as Bozorg-Nia and the IRGC agent in the ward, Hossein Asadi, have intensified the abuse of prisoners.
The Iranian Resistance warns about the increase in pressure and torture of political prisoners, and calls on all international human rights organizations and authorities to refer the inhumane mullah regime’s crimes to the UN Security Council, dispatch a special UN representative to examine the cruel human rights abuses in Iran, and adopt internationally binding and immediate measures to end the violent suppression of prisoners in Iran.
