Iran: Execution of 35 Prisoners from June 7 to June 11, Less Than Every 3.5 Hours One Execution

Murder of a Sick Prisoner in Imam Ali Hospital of Karaj by Prison Guards’ Gunfire

On Wednesday, June 11, 2025, in addition to the uprising prisoner Mojahed Korkor, Iranian regime authorities executed five other prisoners: Ardeshir Soltanabadi, Masoud Naseri, and Sajad Moradi in Qezelhessar Prison; Naghi Soufian, 28, in Ahar Prison; and Shahin Karami, 27, in the Central Prison of Ardabil.

On Tuesday, June 10, 2025, twelve prisoners were sent to the gallows: Ali Rezaei, 33 years old, in the Central Prison of Arak; Peyman Jalalian, 30 years old, in Dastgerd Prison of Isfahan; Mirza Morad Rezaei in Zanjan Prison; and Hafizeh Baluchzehi, a fellow Baluch compatriot, in Ghezel Hesar Prison. The names of the other nine prisoners had been mentioned in a previous statement.

On Monday, June 9, 2025, eight prisoners were executed: Mostafa Hajibabaei in Malayer Prison; Saman Khorrami in the Central Prison of Karaj; Mojtaba Taheri and Ayoub Samadi in Adelabad Prison of Shiraz. The names of the other four executed prisoners were previously announced.

On Sunday, June 8, 2025, three prisoners were executed, and on Saturday, June 7, 2025, six prisoners were executed.

Thus, within the span from Saturday to Wednesday, June 7 to June 11, a total of 35 prisoners were executed — an average of one execution every three and a half hours.

In another criminal act, on June 7, 2025, a prisoner sentenced to death named Aydin Shariatmadar, who had spent 20 years under a death sentence in prison, was killed by gunfire from security guards under the pretext of attempting to escape from Imam Ali Hospital in Karaj, where he was hospitalized.
Following his killing, his fellow inmates in Unit Three of Ghezel Hesar staged a protest that lasted several hours, chanting slogans such as “Death or Freedom.”
