According to media reports, on the evening of April 1, security forces of the clerical regime’s Ministry of Intelligence raided the home of Nasrin Sotoudeh, arresting her during the night and transferring her to an undisclosed location.
The Women’s Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran condemns the arrest of Ms. Nasrin Sotoudeh and calls for her immediate release.
The NCRI Women’s Committee also urges all human rights defenders, women’s rights advocates, and associations of lawyers and jurists to take urgent action to secure the release of political prisoners in Iran, particularly women.
