On the Anniversary of the Release of the Iranian Resistance Leader from the Shah’s Prisons

On Sunday, January 19, 2025, the Resistance Units in Iran launched their second series of activities in honor of the anniversary of the release of Mr. Massoud Rajavi, Leader of the Iranian Resistance, and the last group of political prisoners from the Shah’s prisons. In a total of 83 daring campaigns, they distributed and posted images of the Leader of the Resistance along with slogans commemorating the occasion in Tehran and the cities of Karaj, Sari, Zahedan, Shahr-e Kord, Mashhad, Tabriz, Rasht, Arak, Bandar Abbas, Zanjan, Isfahan, Yazd, Mahabad, Ardakan, Kashan, Andimeshk, and Kouhdasht.

In a particularly courageous act, Resistance Units installed two large banners featuring the Leader of the Resistance on a pedestrian bridge over Hemmat Highway, one of Tehran’s busiest thoroughfares.

The banners and posters featured slogans such as:

“January 19, the anniversary of Massoud Rajavi’s release from the Shah’s prisons by the heroic people—commemorated with honor!”

“The torturers and interrogators were terrified of the name Massoud Rajavi.”

“Massoud’s path and ideals are the path and ideals of freedom for Iran and its people.”

“Massoud Rajavi: We must overthrow the regime in its entirety and reclaim Iran.”

“Arming oneself for self-defense is the undeniable right of the Iranian people.”
