Iran: Dervishes beaten at Adel Abad prison

NCRI – The Iranian regime’s security agents beat and forcibly shaved the beards and moustaches of five jailed Gonbadi Dervishes in an overnight raid on their prison cells at Adel Abad prison, according to reports from inside the regime.

The humiliating attacks took place on September 10 in the prison’s punishment ward, where religious and ethnic minority prisoners including Christians and Bahahis are deprived of phone calls so that abuses are not revealed to the outside world.

After the raid carried out on the orders of the prison chief, the five – named as Mohsen Ismaili, Seyed Ibrahim Bahrami, Mohammad Ali Sadeqi, Mohammad Dehghan and their representative, Kasra Nouri – were then transferred to solitary confinement in underground cells.
