Iranian protester’s body were given to his family 105 days after death

Protesters gathered around body of Ali Hassnpour shortly after he was shot on June 15, 2009NCRI – Iranian regime’s authorities handed over the body of Ali Hassanpour  to his family 105 days after he was shot in the head and killed by members of Bassij paramilitary force during the June 15 anti-government protest in Tehran’s Azadi Square.

In an interview with Voice of America, Persian language TV,  Mrs. Ladan Mostafai, Hassanpour’s wife, said  on Sunday that even though she had the photo of her husband showing that he had been shot, the authorities claimed that they did not have any news of him.

“I had a photo showing that he was shot but I was not sure if he had been shot in the head,” she said.

In the past months, during the anti-government protests many protesters have been arrested, disappeared and killed.  Their families gather outside Evin prison and other detention centers on daily basis to inquire about their loved ones but the regime’s authorities do not respond to them.
