Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Should Be Banned, Say Labour Voters
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) should be banned as a terrorist organisation, nearly three quarters of Labour voters believe. Only one in 20 (five per cent) opposed the proscription of the IRGC, a move backed by Labour when it was in opposition but which it has so far failed to deliver. Three quarters of Labour voters regarded the IRGC as a threat to Britain’s national security, according to the poll of more than 1,500 adults by JL Partners.
It follows disclosures by the intelligence agency MI5 that the security services and police have foiled at least 20 Iran-linked assassination and kidnap plots in the UK in the last two years.

Elaheh Fouladi: Political Prisoner’s Health Deteriorating in Qarchak Prison
Elaheh Fouladi, a political prisoner held in Qarchak Prison in Varamin, is facing a severe decline in her health due to her heart condition. Fouladi was initially transferred to Evin Prison on December 12, 2023, to serve her sentence before being moved to Qarchak Prison. The harsh and unsanitary conditions of Qarchak prison have exacerbated her illness, and according to those close to her, she is no longer physically capable of enduring imprisonment.
Despite her critical condition, judicial authorities and prison officials have so far refused to grant her medical furlough or conditional release, leaving her in dire physical and psychological circumstances.

Iran Ranks Third Globally in Extent of Land Subsidence
