Iranian Democratic Activism Is on the Rise but Can Benefit From the West on Their Side
The leadership of the Islamic Republic of Iran has suffered tremendous strategic setbacks in recent years. These include downturns in an already fragile economy and national currency, major blows to Hezbollah, and other elements of its so-called Axis of Resistance, and the loss of a key state ally as a result of Bashar al-Assad’s overthrow in Syria. Meanwhile, the regime has struggled to suppress dissent among its own people, and each new surge of unrest has threatened to exploit the vulnerabilities created by those other losses.
Maryam Rajavi’s Message to the Iranians’ Rally in Munich
Maryam Rajavi’s message: “Dear compatriots, fellow supporters of the Iranian Resistance,
Greetings to you, who, through your gathering and demonstrations during the Munich Security Conference, once again display the unwavering resolve and determination of the Iranian people to achieve freedom and justice. Your passionate presence signifies your commitment to the noble ideals of the Iranian people—seeking the overthrow of the mullahs’ regime and the establishment of a democratic republic. The religious dictatorship ruling Iran not only suppresses the basic freedoms and human rights of the Iranian people, but through its aggressive policies and relentless pursuit of nuclear weapons, it poses a grave threat to global security and peace. In this context, the policy of appeasement has only provided the regime with opportunities to intensify both domestic repression and external warmongering.”
PMOI Resistance Units Project of Images of Resistance Leaders on Anniversary of Iran’s 1979 Revolution
Coinciding with the 46th anniversary of the 1979 anti-monarchic revolution in Iran—hijacked by Khomeini and transformed into an even more oppressive dictatorship—PMOI Resistance Units carried out a series of revolutionary activities across multiple Iranian cities. These acts reaffirmed the ongoing struggle against the rule of the mullahs and revived the true spirit of a revolution stolen from the Iranian people.
In Ardabil, resistance members projected images onto buildings in Banafsheh Street and Andisheh Street, inscribing a bold slogan rejecting all forms of tyranny: “Death to the oppressor, whether it be the Shah or Khamenei.” Additionally, in Niloufar Street, a projected image of Maryam Rajavi, the president-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), was accompanied by her powerful quote: “The horizon of freedom and victory is becoming increasingly clear.”
Iran’s Rebellious Hold Another Round of Anti-Regime Activities to Mark the Anniversary of The 1979 Revolution
On Tuesday, February 11, Iran’s rebellious youth carried out another round of operations to mark the anniversary of Iran’s 1979 anti-monarchic revolution, setting fire to symbols of the regime’s symbols of repression and corruption. This occurred despite the fact that, following previous rounds of operations, the regime’s security forces were on high alert.
In this round of operations, the rebellious youth targeted centers of repression and misogyny in Tehran, as well as two IRGC Basij bases. They carried out their actions under the slogans “We fight, we die, we take back Iran” and “Death to the dictator—be it the shah or the mullahs.”
In Delijan, the rebellious youth set fire to a statue of Qasem Soleimani, the notorious IRGC Quds force commander who was killed in 2020. In Tehran, they torched a large government banner on a bridge over the Mowlavi Highway. The youth continued their defiant acts by burning government banners featuring images of Ruhollah Khomeini, Ali Khamenei, and Soleimani. These actions took place in various cities, including Tehran, Tabriz, Karaj, Isfahan, Shiraz, Ahvaz, Kerman, Sari, Bandar Abbas, Zahedan, Yasuj, Birjand, Qaemshahr, Ramsar, Borazjan, Bijar, and Tabas—delivering yet another heavy blow to the regime and its supreme leader.
U.S. Lawmakers Urge European Allies to Reinstate U.N. Sanctions on Iran
In a significant legislative push, U.S. lawmakers are calling on European allies to invoke the “snapback” mechanism to reinstate United Nations sanctions on Iran. The bipartisan initiative, led by Senator Pete Ricketts (R-NE) and backed by a group of Republican senators, aims to counter Iran’s nuclear advancements and its alleged support for terrorist organizations.
Senator Ricketts introduced the bicameral legislation, urging the United Kingdom, France, and Germany—collectively known as the E3—to reimpose sanctions that were lifted under the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). Representatives Claudia Tenney (R-NY-24) and Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ-05) introduced a companion bill in the House of Representatives.

Grossi: Iran Seeking to ‘Sevenfold’ Its Production of 60% Enriched Uranium
As the Iranian regime continues to insist on high-level uranium enrichment, Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), warned on Friday, February 14, about the sharp increase in Iran’s enriched uranium stockpile. He stressed that time is running out for reviving the JCPOA (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action). Despite widespread international opposition, the Iranian government continues to enrich uranium to 60%, bringing it dangerously close to the 90% enrichment level required for nuclear weapons production.
Speaking on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, Grossi warned that time for reviving the JCPOA is running out but added that this does not mean it cannot be accomplished quickly.
U.S.: Under ‘Maximum Pressure,’ Iran’s Oil Exports Will Again Be Reduced to 100,000 Barrels Per Day
Scott Bessent, the U.S. Secretary of the Treasury, stated on Friday, February 14, that the United States intends to implement a “maximum pressure” policy to reduce Iran’s oil exports to 100,000 barrels per day.
In an interview with Fox Business, he stated that the Iranian regime is currently exporting between 1.5 million and 1.6 million barrels of oil per day, using the revenues to finance its terrorist activities worldwide.
The U.S. Treasury Secretary emphasized that the Trump administration is committed to reducing this figure back to 100,000 barrels per day, as had been achieved by the end of Trump’s first term.
Scott Bessent stated that China and possibly India are purchasing Iranian oil despite the sanctions, calling this unacceptable.
