Speech of Maryam Rajavi at The Free Iran 2024 World Summit – Day 2
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi’s speech: “Fellow compatriots, Distinguished personalities, and lawmakers, I warmly greet all of you on the second day of the Free Iran World Summit. This summit coincides with the significant triumph of the Iranian people and the Iranian Resistance, marked by the nationwide boycott of the sham elections of the religious dictatorship by 88 percent of eligible voters. The boycott highlights the determination of the Iranian people and the Iranian Resistance to overthrow the clerical regime and liberate Iran.
“The absence of mass participation, combined with election engineering failing to produce a clear result in the first round and necessitating a run-off, clearly indicates divisions, diversions, and schisms within the regime and its various factions. This situation proves the regime’s protective walls are full of cracks and holes.”

Globally, more people than ever will have cast ballots by the time this year draws to a close. But it was the unusually small number of voters who went to the polls in Iran that fired up waves of speeches and tributes at the international headquarters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (MEK).
The 21st edition of the Free Iran Summit in Paris attracted strong statements of support from a long roll call of high-profile supporters that included former Vice President Mike Pence.
“Why am I here?” Pence asked the crowd in Paris as well as participants in Germany and Albania to tune in via video link. “I am here because I want everyone to know the winds of change in Iran are blowing stronger than ever. It has never been as clear in my 20 years of public service that Iran will someday be free.”
The IRGC- An International Terrorist Organization
Founded in 1979 following the Iran revolution, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) is notorious as a fearsome ‘Gestapo-like’ organization, renowned for brutally suppressing and murdering Iranian protesters and fomenting conflicts throughout the Middle East through its proxy allies. It was listed as a foreign terrorist organization by President Trump in 2019 and by the Canadian government in June this year. The IRGC is answerable directly to the Supreme Leader – Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, giving it substantial influence, often operating independently of the regular military. Its roles include internal security, protecting the Iranian regime, controlling strategic military systems, and conducting asymmetrical and unconventional warfare.
