UN Nuclear Watchdog’s Board of Governors Finds Iran Isn’t Complying with Its Nuclear Obligations
VIENNA (AP) — The U.N. nuclear watchdog’s board of governors on Thursday formally found that Iran isn’t complying with its nuclear obligations for the first time in 20 years, a move that could lead to further tensions and set in motion an effort to restore United Nations sanctions on Tehran later this year.
Iran reacted immediately, saying it will establish a new enrichment facility after the vote against it. The announcement said the facility will be “in a secure location” and that “other measures are also being planned.”
“The Islamic Republic of Iran has no choice but to respond to this political resolution,” the Iranian Foreign Ministry and the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran said in a joint statement announcing the decision.

“There are plenty of indications that they have been moving their way towards something that would look a lot like a nuclear weapon,” Hegseth said at a hearing when asked by Sen. Lindsey Graham whether Iran is trying to build a nuclear weapon versus a peaceful nuclear power program.
His remarks came during his testimony before the Senate Appropriations Defense Subcommittee along with Gen. Dan Caine, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Former CIA Analyst Sentenced to Over Three Years in Prison for Unlawfully Transmitting Top Secret National Defense Information
A former CIA analyst was sentenced today to 37 months in prison for unlawfully retaining and transmitting Top Secret National Defense Information to people who were not entitled to receive it, information which was publicly posted on social media platforms in October 2024.
According to court documents, Asif William Rahman, 34, of Vienna, was an employee of the CIA since 2016 and had a Top Secret security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) until his employment was terminated after his arrest.
“For months, this defendant betrayed the American people and the oaths he took upon entering his office by leaking some of our Nation’s most closely held secrets,” said John Eisenberg, Assistant Attorney General for National Security. “As this case demonstrates, the Department of Justice will continue to protect our nation by vigorously investigating and prosecuting leakers who compromise our nation’s security.”

US, European Powers Submit Iran Resolution at UN Nuclear Agency: Diplomats
Agence France Presse (AFP) – European powers and the United States submitted a resolution to the UN’s nuclear watchdog board on Tuesday condemning Iran’s “non-compliance” with its nuclear obligations, in a bid to up pressure on Tehran, diplomats told AFP.
It is the latest move in a years-long effort to restrict Iran’s nuclear activities over fears that it is seeking to develop nuclear weapons, which it denies.
The diplomatic manoeuvre comes as the United States and Tehran have held several rounds of talks mediated by Oman, aimed at securing an agreement on limiting Iran’s nuclear programme in exchange for sanctions relief.
“The text has been submitted,” three diplomatic sources told AFP on Tuesday night.

Somayeh Rashidi Detained 50 Days Without Legal Proceedings
More than 50 days have passed since the arrest of Somayeh Rashidi in Tehran, and she remains in legal limbo in the women’s ward of Evin Prison. Sakineh Maleki Hadak, a high school teacher in Bandar Anzali and a member of the Iranian teachers’ union movement, has been sentenced to forced retirement with a two-rank demotion, according to the final ruling issued by the clerical regime’s Administrative Court of Justice. The decision upholds a previous verdict issued by the Ministry of Education’s Disciplinary Board for Government Employees.
The sentence was issued in response to Sakineh Maleki’s participation in peaceful protest gatherings and her active pursuit of teachers‘ professional demands. Although the Ministry of Education had earlier issued the forced retirement order, Mrs. Maleki appealed the decision.

The Plight of Child Laborers in Iran
The World Day Against Child Labor (June 12) serves as a global reminder of our collective responsibility toward the silent cries of millions of children worldwide whose lives are intertwined not with dreams, but with scavenging, exhaustion, humiliation, and fear. In Iran, under the rule of the mullahs, millions of children are victims of systemic poverty, lawlessness, and blatant exploitation, victims not only of familial hardships but also of a deliberate structure of denial, injustice, and profiteering by the regime.
This report provides a documented and structured portrayal of the child labor crisis in Iran, grounded in firsthand accounts, credible statistical data, legal analysis, and direct examination of violated commitments. Its aim is to raise awareness and mobilize public opinion and human rights institutions to halt this chronic cycle of exploitation.
Brutal IRGC Special Unit Raid on Dehkuhan Village: Repression Amid the Looting of a Chromite Mine
On Tuesday, June 9, 2025, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) special forces violently attacked defenseless residents of Dehkuhan village, located in Kahnuj County, Kerman Province. The assault involved batons, tear gas, pepper spray, and rubber bullets. The villagers’ only “crime” was their peaceful protest against the environmental destruction and devastation of their livelihoods by the chromite mine, which is under the control of a mafia network tied to the IRGC’s Cooperative Foundation. This is yet another crime of Iran’s ruling clerical regime—one that will not end until this plundering system is overthrown.
Iranian Regime’s Judiciary Announces Execution of 9 Prisoners
Mizan News Agency, affiliated with the judiciary of Iran’s regime, reported the execution of nine prisoners who had been arrested in 2018 and sentenced to death on charges of “waging war against God through rebellion, armed uprising, and possession of military weapons.”

It stated, “After being arrested and undergoing legal and judicial procedures, they were hanged.”
According to Mizan, the group attempted to enter Iran from the western region on January 27, 2018. They were reportedly surrounded by Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) forces, and during the confrontation, three IRGC members were killed.
Iran’s Growing Educational Crisis: How Poverty and Policy Are Undermining a Generation
Rising economic hardship, shrinking education budgets, and systemic neglect have led to a dramatic decline in school quality and access across Iran.
A new report from Iran regime’s Parliamentary Research Center reveals the deepening crisis in the country’s education system, driven by widespread poverty and chronic underfunding. According to the report, the average grade of 12th-grade students has dropped below 10 in the past two years, and dropout rates are sharply increasing—symptoms of a wider collapse in educational quality.
The report, titled Educational Poverty, investigates the relationship between household income levels and educational outcomes. Its findings are stark: economic deprivation is not only widening inequality but is also pushing Iran’s next generation toward a bleak future with limited opportunities.
