Seven Iranians Arrested in UK
Tennessee Williams once said, “The only thing worse than a liar is a liar that’s also a hypocrite!” He would have found a perfect example in the Iranian Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi. Five men, four of whom were Iranian nationals, were arrested on 4 May by British Counter Terrorism Police, with the help of armed military personnel, on suspicion of preparing a terrorist act targeting the Israeli Embassy in London.
A further three Iranian men were arrested the same day in London as part of a separate counter-terrorism operation under section 27 of the UK’s National Security Act 2023, a law that regulates espionage, sabotage, and foreign interference.
Tehran Between Hammer of Uprising and Anvil of War
In our contemporary political climate, the Islamic Republic of Iran finds itself caught in a dangerous bind: on one side, the looming threat of a national uprising; on the other, the growing possibility of military confrontation with the West. Regime-affiliated media reported that the primary sticking point in the fourth round of nuclear negotiations is uranium enrichment.
The United States is demanding a complete halt to all enrichment activities on Iranian soil, while the regime considers this a red line and refuses to dismantle its nuclear facilities in Natanz, Isfahan, and Fordow.
PMOI Resistance Units in Zahedan Launch Bold Anti-Regime Campaign Amid Power Outages
On Friday, May 16, Resistance Units in Zahedan carried out a daring field campaign, putting up placards and writing slogans on city walls in protest of worsening living conditions, particularly recurring electricity blackouts, widespread executions, and repression.
The operation was conducted under heavy surveillance, with cameras and security patrols by Basij forces and IRGC units throughout the city. This comes as the Iranian regime continues to sentence dissidents to death, making these acts of defiance an unmistakable sign of courage and determination.

The resolution acknowledges the legitimacy of the rebellious youths — led by MEK, i.e., the main democratic opposition — confronting the repressive forces of IRGC inside Iran. The support for the resolution transcends party lines and ideological leanings.
House Majority Backs ‘Freedom Fighters’ in Iran, Calls to ‘Collapse the Tyranny from Within’
A bipartisan House majority has cosponsored a resolution backing Iranian democracy and denouncing the regime’s escalating campaign of terrorism, with Rep. Tom McClintock (R-CA) — who announced the milestone — calling the move a stand for a “democratic, secular, and nonnuclear Republic of Iran,” as Rep. Keith Self (R-TX) pointed to President Donald Trump’s legacy of pressure diplomacy, noting such deals succeed when “the world understands it must take him at his word.”

Nationwide Bakers’ Protests Erupt Across Iran Over Electricity and Economic Crisis

Iran’s Economic Outlook Darkens as IMF Warns of Stagnation, Soaring Inflation, and Deepening Deficits
Amid escalating international sanctions and mounting internal challenges, the Iranian regime is facing one of its most severe economic downturns in recent years. Iran’s Electricity Crisis Deepens Ahead of Summer 2025
With just one month remaining until the summer of 2025, Iran’s electricity crisis is escalating rapidly, exposing the regime’s inability to address chronic energy shortages despite repeated warnings and growing public discontent.
Two weeks ago, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Industry, Mine, and Trade, aimed at “preventing the losses of previous years.” However, the agreement has yet to be implemented and appears to have been sidelined amid growing demand and dwindling supply.
