Expert Warns Iran May Soon Threaten U.S. with Nuclear ICBMs

In an interview aired on Fox News on May 4, national security expert Robert Greenway warned that the regime in Iran is potentially within a year of developing intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) capable of delivering nuclear warheads to the United States.

'Very limited options' if Iran obtains nuclear weapons, national security expert warns

Greenway argued that a nuclear-armed Iran would not only threaten military targets but would “blackmail us, create economic havoc, cut off certain navigable waters, make threats.” He stressed that Iran’s regime backs down only when confronted with force, saying, “Four decades of history have demonstrated that Iran will back down only when confronted with force.”

Calling Iran “at the weakest position… in at least three decades,” he said military action could be undertaken at lower risk. Rejecting accusations of warmongering, he added, “The only acceptable amount of enrichment for the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism is zero.”

Iran-Backed Houthis in Yemen Feel Trump’s Wrath

townhall-logo

For years, the Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen have mounted drone and missile attacks on commercial shipping in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, forcing thousands of ships to abandon their main maritime route between Europe and Asia through the Suez Canal, diverting them around the African coast, adding costly travel time and impacting global trade. The Iranian mullahs openly backed and directed the attacks, citing the Houthis, an extremist Shi’ite movement, as part of their so called ‘Axis of Resistance’ against U.S., Saudi and Western influence in the Middle East. Heavily armed and trained by the Quds force, the extra-territorial wing of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the Houthis targeted Israeli, British and American ships in the Red Sea, with seeming impunity.

Iran’s Bloodthirsty Regime Goes on Sick Execution Spree with 22 Killed in 3 DAYS behind ‘Smoke Screen’ of US Nuke Talks

IRAN’S iron-fist regime has gone on an execution spree while the eyes of the world are on its nuclear talks with the US, insiders say.

At least 22 prisoners were killed last week in less than four days as the execution rate surges “dramatically” – with even more now at risk. Among them are Mehdi Hassani and Behrouz Ehsani whose lives are in “grave danger” after their appeals for retrial were rejected by Iran’s merciless commanders.

Sources say the worrying rise in executions is a “clear example of how repression at home escalates while more focus is placed on nuclear negotiation“.

A Woman Executed at Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj

In the early hours of Thursday, May 1, 2025, a woman named Saghar was executed at Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj. Saghar, a resident of Kamalshahr, Karaj, had been sentenced to death in connection with a joint murder case involving a man named Mehrdad.

Saghar and Mehrdad were arrested approximately six years ago on charges of murdering Saghar’s husband, Farid. Following several court sessions, both defendants were sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary—a verdict later upheld by the Supreme Court.

However, Mehrdad managed to avoid execution after obtaining the consent of the victim’s family and paying diyeh (blood money). Saghar, unable to secure such an agreement, was ultimately executed.

Negligence and Secrecy: The Regime’s Role in the Bandar Abbas Explosion

A survivor walks past the charred remains of two trucks near the blast site in Bandar Abbas, southern Iran — April 2025

The deadly explosion at Iran’s Bandar Abbas port has once again exposed the lethal consequences of systemic mismanagement, corruption, and military secrecy under the Iranian regime. The blast, which claimed at least 70 lives and injured over 1,300 people, was not a mere accident—it was the predictable result of a regime that routinely prioritizes clandestine military ambitions over public safety.

The explosion occurred in the Shahid Rajaee Port’s private terminal—an area with restricted access and reportedly under the control of entities linked to Iran’s military apparatus. According to Saeed Jafari, CEO of the Sina Port and Maritime Services Development Company, the tragedy was triggered by misdeclared cargo: hazardous materials, including what experts believe may have been solid missile fuel, were listed as ordinary goods and stored without proper precautions.

In a controversial development, the CEO of Avan Rail has indirectly confirmed that the company is being funded by assets linked to Babak Zanjani, a billionaire businessman convicted of massive financial corruption. On Sunday, April 20, Iranian media reported that Iran Railways had signed an agreement with Avan Rail—a subsidiary of Dot One Holding—to purchase 300 diesel self-propelled passenger trains, 50 freight locomotives, and 600 freight wagons. Avan Rail later announced on its website that the deal involves the production and supply of 2,000 freight and passenger wagons and locomotives.

The NPT is the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.

Kayhan wrote: “The Iranian side may be willing to reduce the level of enrichment to a non-military threshold and allow independent verification of this reduction, but it will never submit to complete nuclear disarmament.”
