Iran’s Rebellious Youth Mark The Second Anniversary of Zahedan’s Bloody Friday
On Sunday, September 29, 2024, Iran’s rebellious youth targeted 23 centers and symbols of the mullahs’ regime. These actions marked the second anniversary of the uprising and the “Bloody Friday of Zahedan” on September 30, 2022, when the regime’s forces opened fire on the peaceful protests of Baluch compatriots. The people had gathered after Friday prayers in protest against the rape of a 15-year-old Baloch girl by a local police commander. They held a demonstration in front of Zahedan’s 16th precinct, demanding the arrest and trial of the perpetrators.
The Alarming Safety Conditions of Iran’s Mines Under The Corrupt Rule of The Mullahs
Iran’s regime sends oppressed miners, deprived of any safety facilities, into the depths of the earth to earn an honorable living, without even providing the minimum requirements for working in grueling conditions. The national resources and public assets of these very miners are used to fill the pockets of criminal clerics and oppressive Revolutionary Guards, while the rest is spent on exporting fundamentalism and terrorism; yet, no responsibility is taken for ensuring the livelihood and lives of these laborers.
Death of Senior Iranian Regime Commander Abbas Nilforoushan Marks a Major Blow to the Regime
The death of Brigadier General Abbas Nilforoushan, a high-ranking commander in Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), has been confirmed following an Israeli airstrike on Hezbollah’s headquarters in Beirut. This loss represents a significant setback for the Iranian regime, as the IRGC itself confirmed that Nilforoushan, a senior officer in the elite Quds Force, was killed during the attack. The IRGC’s official statement revealed that Nilforoushan, the deputy commander of operations, was present at the Hezbollah headquarters during the strike, which also claimed the life of Hezbollah’s Secretary General, Hassan Nasrallah.
Gasoline Crisis and Price Discrepancies in Iran
The issue of gasoline shortages and pricing has come under intense scrutiny in Iran, with rising consumption and limited production creating a serious imbalance. This challenge, exacerbated by holiday traffic surges and long-standing infrastructure problems, has brought the topic of gasoline price hikes back into the spotlight. Amid this, officials are beginning to hint at possible solutions, including controversial price increases, which could provoke public backlash reminiscent of past unrest.
In recent weeks, social media has been flooded with images and videos showing long lines at gas stations, many of which were closed due to fuel shortages. The problem has been particularly acute in Iran’s northern provinces, where summer travelers encountered severe shortages, leading to kilometers-long queues at petrol stations and gridlocked highways.
Crisis of Nurse Resignations in Iran: 1,590 Resigned Last Year
Salman Es’haghi, spokesperson for the Health Committee of the mullahs’ Parliament in Iran, reported that last year, 1,590 nurses resigned from their jobs. This number indicates that resignations are significantly outpacing the migration of nurses abroad. The rate of resignations among nurses is estimated to be two to three times higher than the rate of emigration.
Es’haghi stated that on Sunday, September 29, 2024, the parliamentary Health and Treatment Committee heard the officials of the Nursing System Organization. According to their report, as shared by the organization’s president, around 2,000 nurses apply to leave the country each year, and currently, 2,000 Iranian nurses are working in Denmark. With only 300,000 nurses, Iran faces a severe shortage in this critical field.
Wage Growth Lags 120% Behind Inflation Over Six Years in Iran
The state-run Ham-Mihan newspaper, reviewing the performance of governments over the past six years, reported a 120% lag of wages behind inflation as claimed by state centers. However, experts believe that this gap, based on people’s experience of rising costs and changes in how inflation is calculated, exceeds 120%. In its Monday, September 30th edition, Ham-Mihan wrote, “Some workers and their families have signed a petition asking the president to submit a bill to parliament for wage adjustments in 2024 based on inflation rates announced by the Central Bank.”
Iran: Government Raises Price of Milk By 20%; Dairy Products Set for Further Price Hikes
With the announcement of the new price for raw milk by Mohammad Reza Aref, the First Vice President of the Iranian regime, the price of raw milk increased by 20%, reaching 181,000 rials per kilogram (approximately $0.3).
According to Iranian media, the previous price for raw milk was 150,000 rials per kilogram (approximately $0.25), and one of the first promises of the Minister of Agriculture was to “settle” this price.
The increase in the price of raw milk had been approved months ago, but the government had delayed its implementation due to rising bread prices. Finally, the new price was applied to the market.
Iran Needs 20 Billion Dollars to Solve the Electricity Crisis
At a meeting of the Iran Chamber of Energy Commission and the Renewable Energy Association, warnings were issued regarding the increase in electricity imbalance to 30,000 megawatts next year and the need for $20 billion to help the electricity sector navigate the crisis. Experts believe these warnings are laying the groundwork to prepare the public for the worsening crisis. According to the state-affiliated Shargh newspaper, Mohammad Amin Zangeneh, Secretary of the Renewable Energy Association, said during the meeting, “It is predicted that the electricity imbalance will reach 30,000 megawatts.”
Davoud Madadi, the president of the Renewable Energy Association of the Iranian regime, also warned about the consequences of increased electricity imbalances, stating, “At least $15 billion is needed to address the shortages, and if we consider the network, substations, and electricity transmission, the required investment rises to $20 billion.”
Khamenei’s Decision to Avoid War Reveals Iran’s Fragile Position
After the deaths of Hezbollah’s leader and senior IRGC commander Nilforoushan in Lebanon, many expected Khamenei to declare war, but he didn’t. Why? Does Khamenei ignore the internal, regional, and international consequences of his inaction? Is he unaware of losing proxy trust and his collapsing warmongering strategy? Of course, he knows! So why did he settle for hollow gestures like five days of mourning, appeals to Islamic bodies, and weak propaganda?
Iran Lacks War Readiness: Iran’s current regime lacks the requirements for full-scale war, as entering war would lead to its downfall. Just like Reza Shah’s army during World War II, the regime doesn’t have the resources or ammunition to fight.
