US Imposes Curbs on Firms over Support of Pakistan, Iran Weapons Programs
By Agence France Presse (AFP) – The United States added more than two dozen entities to a trade blacklist Monday over alleged support of weapons and drone development programs in Pakistan and Iran, and for other issues including aiding Russia’s war effort in Ukraine.
The 26 targets, mostly in Pakistan, China, and the United Arab Emirates, were said to have violated export controls, been involved in “weapons programs of concern,” or evaded US sanctions and export controls on Russia and Iran, said the Commerce Department.
Their addition to the so-called “entity list” restricts them from getting US items and technologies without government authorization.
“We are vigilant in defending US national security from bad actors,” said Under Secretary of Commerce for Industry and Security Alan Estevez in a statement.

How Government Corruption Is Fueling Iran’s Banking Crisis
Ruthless thieves are plundering the wealth of the oppressed Iranian nation and are trying to blind the eyes of truth-seekers to hide the realities. Economist Farshad Momeni has shed light on one of the crises caused by the thieves of the people’s assets, namely the “banking imbalance.”
On October 14, the Jamaran website quoted him as saying, “Is it a coincidence that mafias and their mercenaries point to thousands of false and clichéd causes for inflation? The collapse of Iran’s economy, the significant damage to the country’s reputation, and the threat to its future are primarily due to financialization, especially the role of private banks. In more than two decades, no entity has contributed as much to the rise in currency, gold, and housing prices as private banks. Yet, when they give explanations, they rely on misleading and repeatedly failed arguments.”
Maryam Rajavi Trailblazing the Road to Gender Parity in A Free Iran
October 22, marks the anniversary of the announcement of the election of Maryam Rajavi as President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran for the transitional period when sovereign power is transferred to the people of Iran after the overthrow of the clerical regime. Her election kicked off the Iranian Resistance’s strategic, cultural, political, and ideological campaign against the misogynous ruling mullahs of Iran. Maryam Rajavi became the face of the movement which is totally the opposite of what the mullahs are, and the face of the future free Iran.
Thirty-five years ago, the Iranian Resistance experienced a major overhaul in thinking and practice by investing all its assets in the leadership of women. On October 18, 1989, Massoud Rajavi, the sitting Secretary General of the PMOI, passed on his mandate to Maryam Rajavi who had already shared the post as joint leader since 1985.
Some Schools in Iran Force Parents to Clean the School for Not Paying Tuition
The state-run Etemad newspaper reported that some schools are forcing parents to clean the schools due to their inability to pay tuition fees. In Taybad, a girls’ school, Bahonar, threatened to expel a student if her father didn’t pay the tuition. In Tehran, a school compiled a list of underprivileged families and contacted them to clean the school. *Etemad* on October 18, citing a report of a mother being forced to clean her child’s classroom, stated that this practice has also occurred in other schools.
According to the newspaper, the practice of having parents clean schools is not new. Some schools compel the parents of underprivileged students to clean the school during the registration process. If the families refuse, they are threatened with their child’s expulsion.
