Israel Strikes Hezbollah Targets as Conflict Intensifies
More than 320 people were killed and 1,200 others were injured in Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon on Monday, officials said, marking the deadliest day of strikes from Israel in the country since the 2006 war.
In a speech Monday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the people of Lebanon to “get out of harm’s way” while Israel targets Hezbollah positions, and that his country is not at war with them, but with the Iran-backed militant group.
Netanyahu warned Israel is changing the “balance of power” on its northern front and that Israelis faced “complex days,” while the Israeli military said it is “preparing for the next phases” following the deadly strikes.
As fears of a wider regional war grow, Hezbollah’s second-in-command said “a battle without limits” was underway and the group launched some of its deepest strikes inside Israel in decades.
Meanwhile, Israel is considering a plan to force all Palestinians out of northern Gaza to lay siege to Hamas and force the release of hostages.
Exclusive: Iran’s Guards Ban Communications Devices after Strike on Hezbollah
Sept 23 (Reuters) – Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) has ordered all members to stop using any type of communication devices after thousands of pagers and walkie-talkies used by its Hezbollah allies in Lebanon blew up in deadly attacks last week, two senior Iranian security officials told Reuters.
One of the security officials said a large-scale operation is underway by the IRGC to inspect all devices, not just communication equipment. He said most of these devices were either homemade or imported from China and Russia.
Iran was concerned about infiltration by Israeli agents, including Iranians on Israel’s payroll and a thorough investigation of personnel has already begun, targeting mid and high-ranking members of the IRGC, added the official, who declined to be identified because of the sensitivity of the matter.

Declaring Three Days of National Mourning for the Tragic Deaths of Over 50 Miners in Tabas
Maryam Rajavi: In the mullahs’ anti-worker regime, the lives and safety of laborers are treated with indifference, sparking neither concern nor accountability.
Tragedies and heart-wrenching scenes continue to unfold, yet no serious efforts are made to address or prevent them. Khamenei and his criminal regime bear full responsibility for the Tabas disaster and the tragic loss of these oppressed workers’ lives.
My heartfelt sympathies and deepest condolences go out to the families and townspeople of the victims of the Madanjouy mine disaster.
Iran’s Expanding Threat: A Growing Danger for Europe
Based on the article from Focus published on September 20th, titled “Iran Not Only Provokes in the Middle East – It’s Dangerous for Europe Too,” Iran’s regime poses an increasing danger to European nations, beyond its aggressive actions in the Middle East.
The European Union’s past policies toward Tehran have been marked by a troubling naivety that now threatens European security.
Historically, countries like Germany and other European states have downplayed the risks posed by Iran. This is evident in incidents such as German President Steinmeier’s congratulatory message on the 40th anniversary of Iran’s revolution, symbolizing a broader European approach under Chancellor Angela Merkel that emphasized diplomacy while underestimating the dangers of regimes like Iran and Russia.
Global Outcry Over Iran’s Death Sentences: Calls for Immediate International Intervention
The international community has been gravely concerned about the recent death sentences handed down to two Iranian political prisoners, Behrouz Ehsani (69) and Mehdi Hassani (48), both supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK). These sentences, issued by the Iranian Revolutionary Court on charges of “waging war against God” and “corruption on Earth,” are viewed as part of a broader campaign by the Iranian regime to suppress political opposition, especially around the anniversary of the 2022 nationwide protests.
Various human rights organizations and political bodies have condemned these actions, calling for international intervention. Notably, the Committee of Romanian Parliamentarians for a Free Iran has urged the United Nations to take swift measures to prevent the executions, emphasizing Iran’s violations of international human rights standards, including the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) and the Convention Against Torture (CAT). These groups argue that Iran’s use of torture and execution as political tools blatantly contravenes these international agreements.
1.6 Million Students Drop Out of School Due to Economic Problems
Media in Iran are reporting widespread school dropout rates, especially among boys, due to economic hardships. Many students leave school and enter the job market because of a lack of future prospects after completing their education. On Sunday, September 22, Shargh newspaper, in a report coinciding with the reopening of schools in Iran, wrote: “Education has lost its economic value. Ten or twenty years ago, education was the best way to advance and move up the social ladder, but now, higher education no longer provides such upward mobility.”
The newspaper added, “Students consider dropping out and entering the job market a victory for themselves, while they view attending classes as a loss.”

Will Pezeshkian’s UN Visit Ease Sanctions or Worsen Iran’s Isolation?
Next week, Masoud Pezeshkian and his delegation will meet with European and American officials at the UN General Assembly. Pezeshkian, Iran’s new president, has already faced criticism from factions within the Iranian regime for his unpolished and unplanned stances, often giving cartoonish responses to important national issues. Experts in New York are awaiting his arrival at the General Assembly to evaluate whether both sides can find a way to return to diplomacy regarding Iran’s nuclear program while also reducing tensions with Israel and the West.
Pezeshkian is set to land in the U.S. just a month and a half before the U.S. presidential election on November 5, an event on which the Iranian regime is heavily banking. In recent days, attempts by Tehran to influence the election have been reflected in the media.
