Stevenson: Inevitable That Iran Resistance Is Burgeoning

newsmax-logo

Sixty years ago, three young students in Iran came together and formed a group to oppose the Mohammad Reza Pahlavi’s (the Shah of Iran) dictatorship and help the Iranian people achieve freedom and democracy. Mohammad Hanifnejad, Ali-Asghar Badizadegan and Saied Mohsen, were arrested, tortured, and executed by Savak, the Shah of Iran’s brutal secret police.

Since that day, the People’s Mojahedin of Iran/Mojahedin-e Khalq (PMOI/MEK) has grown to become the main and most organized Iranian opposition group, resisting two successive dictatorships — those of the Shah and now the mullahs.

Grassley Reveals New Details into Alleged Iranian-Backed Plot to Assassinate Biden, Trump, and Haley

Washington-Examiner

Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) released FBI documents that implicated Iran in a plot to assassinate former President Donald Trump, President Joe Biden, and ex-U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley.  Grassley revealed the records on Thursday after obtaining them from legally protected law enforcement whistleblowers, according to Fox News. The documents disappeared from Grassley’s public Senate page on Thursday evening. The Washington Examiner reached out to the senator’s office concerning the deletion but did not receive a response.

However, the documents released by the senator, reviewed by outlets such as the New York Post, detailed for the first time federal investigators’ interview with a man charged with an Iranian-backed plot to assassinate Trump. Asif Merchant, a Pakistani man, said he discussed assassination strategies on American political figures with a handler named Mehardad Yousef.

PMOI emblem

We are at the beginning of the 60th year of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI). In its six-decade history, the PMOI has undergone many trials and tribulations and transformed from a small group to a nationwide and worldwide movement. However, the one thing that has remained consistent throughout this period is loyalty to the cause and infinite sacrifice from PMOI members of all ranks.

As they have proven time and again, the PMOI’s loyalty is only to the people of Iran and the cause they fight for is freedom. Freedom from oppression, discrimination, inequality, and exploitation. Freedom in all its individual and social aspects; including freedom of thought and expression, freedom of assembly, and the rejection of all forms of ethnic, religious, class, and gender inequality.
