NCRI – As state run Ilna news agency reported,300 workers of ball bearings manufacturing of Tabriz (Northwestern Iran) protested against the overdue payments on Wednesday November 9th 2016.
According to workers, the total unpaid wages are equal to the one-month salary and they expect the employer to resolve the insurance problems as well as paying debts. The workers acknowledged that the critical economic condition has also affected their current condition and the inefficiency of management plays an important role as well.
The Workers of Vegetable Oil Company Are Uncertain
Ilna news agency also reported, on Wednesday November 9th 2016, no measure has been taken by the employers of Golnaz Vegetable Oil Company to resume the factory’s production and to pay the overdue salaries of their workers.
Golnaz Vegetable Oil Company was shut down in mid-August 2016 since the employer announced the so-called financial problems and the production unit stopped working. Since then, over 1200 workers became unemployed.
The workers of Golnaz Vegetable Oil Company stipulated that it has been 60 days since the employers have not responded with any convincing reason. The employers neglect the overdue payments of workers and the town authorities such as the governor’s office and the governmental work organizations do not take any steps to solve these problems.
According to the workers, the biggest problem now is that the company cannot supply the raw materials for the production of the vegetable oil since the Ministry of Agriculture has annulled the import licenses.
The employers believe that as the process of payments and facilities for the production of raw materials prolongs, the financing process will impede as well.
The situation is still same and the workers of this company have been protesting in front of the factory demanding their receivables to be paid.
