In the last couple of days, PMOI-led Resistance Units have launched a new wave of “daring actions” across Iran’s major urban centers. These activities coincide with the historic announcement of a Provisional Government by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), aimed at transitioning power to the Iranian people.
-
Tehran: Units performed high-risk operations to hang massive banners from pedestrian overpasses in heavily monitored districts. One prominent banner featured NCRI President-elect Maryam Rajavi with the message: “The era of any type of dictatorship, whether religious or monarchical, is over”.
-
Tabriz: Members of the units raised the symbol of the National Liberation Army (NLA) and chanted slogans such as, “Down with the oppressor, be it the Shah or the Mullahs!”.
-
Isfahan & Rafsanjan: Major thoroughfares were saturated with slogans. In Rafsanjan, banners explicitly declared, “The Liberation Army is coming,” signaling a shift toward more decisive revolutionary rhetoric.

Voices of Support for the Provisional Government
Following the NCRI’s declaration of a Provisional Government, Resistance Units from various cities issued messages of endorsement.
Resistance Units even acted on broad daylight to perform these high-risk operations. Some members openly installed large-scale symbols of the National Liberation Army (NLA) in high-traffic public squares despite the regime’s security apparatus being on high alert.
Furthermore, a “large-scale distribution offensive” was carried out by these units in cities such as Qazvin, Khorramabad, and Shiraz who actively moved through streets to distribute posters declaring “The NLA is coming back” directly to citizens. This shift from static displays to active, mobile engagement marks a transition for the units as they practically act as the “vanguard” of the newly announced Provisional Government.
The synchronization of these field operations with the NCRI’s political roadmap underscores a high level of coordination between the resistance leadership and the units on the ground. As the regime faces unprecedented internal and external pressure, the Resistance Units have effectively reclaimed the public square, validating the push for a secular and democratic future for Iran.
