NUMBER OF VICTIMS (AS OF July 9, 2020, 6:00 PM CEST):
The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) announced this afternoon, July 9, 2020, that Coronavirus has taken the lives of more than 68,100 in 342 cities across Iran. The death toll in various provinces include: 5165 in Khuzestan 5060 in Khorasan Razavi, 3030 in Mazandaran, 1935 in West Azerbaijan, 1710 in Golestan, 1600 in Hamedan, 1475 in Fars, 1365 in Kurdistan, 450 in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari. This is in addition to reports obtained from other provinces.

Ongoing Successes by Iran’s Resistance Movement, MEK and NCRI Should Inspire Support From Abroad
On July 17, tens of thousands of Iranian join and international conference held by the Iranian Resistance movement, the MEK and NCRI. The Free Iran Global Summit will be a socially distanced alternative to the annual rally organized near Paris by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).
Many expatriate communities will hold gatherings within their own countries, and these will be connected into one overarching event by a live stream that will be viewed by additional participants, policymakers, and journalists.

Iran’s Regime Disgraceful Act in Handing Over Island to China: Sign of Mullahs’ Desperation and Deadlock
Reports from Iran indicate the regime is handing over some Iranian islands to China in an unpatriotic 25–year agreement. This is a desperate move by a regime which is reaching its end and trying to hold its grasp on power at any cost.
The regime is handing the Kish island to China in exchange for military, regional and international support. Particularly, the mullahs’ regime fears the upcoming decision of the United Nations Security Council over an extension of the arms embargo on the regime.

Iran: Coronavirus Death Toll in 342 Cities Exceeds 67,600
- Iraj Harirchi, regime’s Deputy Health Minister: The situation will undoubtedly get worse. Coronavirus vaccine will not be available any sooner than 12 months.
- Mohammad-Ali Mohseni, parliament deputy, from the Health and Medical Commission: On some days, we had 300 people dying due to Coronavirus, The Health Ministry’s figures do not include those who die at home or on the way to the hospital.
- Alireza Zali, head of the National Coronavirus Combat Taskforce (NCCT) in Tehran: The situation in Tehran is very fragile; the number of patients and dead has been increasing exponentially in the past ten days.
- Epidemiologist, Dr. Hamid Souri, member of NCCT: The average number of deaths in Iran is twice the global average. We rank second in the world in terms of mortality.
- Medical staff at Khorramabad Hospital told the state TV: I have taken 200-300 Coronavirus patients to the mortuary, young and old all died. The beds will not empty even for an hour.
- The average number of deaths in Kermanshah now is 12 times more than last month

Iraqi demonstrators condemn Iran’s regime, Hezbollah after a recent assassination
Iraqi demonstrators in Baghdad’s iconic Tahrir Square held a symbolic funeral ceremony on Tuesday, July 7, for Iraqi security analyst Husham Al Hashimi who was recently assassinated inside his car outside of his home. The demonstrators were seen chanting, “Hezbollah is the enemy of God” and calling for retaliatory measures against Al Hashimi’s assassins.
The demonstrators in Baghdad were also holding a large image of Iranian regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei with line writing, “Khamenei is a murderer and his proxies have no legitimacy.” This rally continued for two hours in areas of Baghdad famous for demonstrators held by protesters that have long been rallying against the Iranian regime’s malign and deadly influence in their country.

WHAT ARE THE IRAN PROTESTS OF 2019?
Thursday, July 9, 2020, marks the 236th day since the beginning of the nationwide Iran protests.
The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) has identified 755 of the more than 1500 protesters killed by the regime so far.
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has called on the United Nations to urgently send an international fact-finding mission to Iranian prisons to meet with the detainees.
