"The Russian proposal is not sufficient for Iran’s nuclear energy needs," Ali Larijani told reporters upon his return from China.
The clerical regime first appeared cool over the Russian idea, then implicitly rejected it and then embraced it. Some Western diplomats have accused Iranians of trying to buy time and avoid being referred to the UN Security Council.
The International Atomic Energy Agency’s 35-nation board is to hold an emergency meeting on mullahs’ regime nuclear threat on February 2.
In a usual threatening tone Larijani warned the Europeans not to rush and said "any sort of haste and irrational behavior would lead to unfavourable circumstances in the region."
The Iranian Resistance notes that the world community, and in particular the European Union, have for the past three and a half years, witnessed the mullahs’ repeated tricks and devious political manipulations in a bid to further their nuclear projects. The Resistance warns that any hesitation or delay in referring the clerical regime’s nuclear file to the UN Security Council will only give the mullahs valuable time to acquire a nuclear bomb. The time has come for the UN Security Council to adopt comprehensive sanctions against the clerical regime without further delay.
