According to reports, beginning around noon at Tehran University, the students started gathering on the university grounds and chanted “Death to the Dictator,” and “Concerned students, join us, join us.” They called for the release of their arrested fellow students.
One of the students said that regime’s security forces stationed at the university poured their agents and mercenaries into the scene and tried to prevent the gathering from taking shape by taking pictures of participating students and other harassment and suppressive actions.
Another report indicated that mullahs’ regime stopped some of the students from entering Amir-Kabir University.
According to this report, since this morning, the security forces tightly controlled entrances to Amir-Kabir University and prevented some of the more active and well known students from entering the campus. Concurrently, regime’s suppressive police forces, several times stronger than their usual presence, tried to use harassment tactics to prevent the protests from taking shape.
In the city of Isfahan, the suppressive security forces used 6 vehicles inside the campus and attacked the striking students, confiscated some of the students’ ID cards and attempted to prevent the spread of the protests. Despite the atmosphere of harassment and terror, students continued their gathering in front of Talarha complex. Security forces who were frustrated by the students’ steadfastness and resistance, tried to disperse them by verbally abusing and insulting them; they arrested several students and took them away.
