International Workers’ Day – Coordinated Operations and Solidarity Actions
PMOI Resistance Units marked International Workers’ Day with actions across the country amid Iran’s post-war economic ruin. This included 10 coordinated operations in Tehran and seven other cities, striking IRGC Basij bases, detonating explosions at centers of suppression, and torching banners and posters featuring regime leaders. Actions included placing flower wreaths, displaying images of the martyrs, and posting messages such as “The path of PMOI martyrs Commander Hamed Validi and Mohammad (Nima) Massoum-Shahi will continue until the overthrow of the regime and the freedom of Iran” and “We swear on the blood of the martyrs that we will stand till the end.”

The Regime’s Fear of the Organized Resistance and an Imminent Uprising
The clerical regime is visibly alarmed by the growing organization and reach of PMOI Resistance Units inside Iran. In a clear sign of panic, regime media outlets — including Tasnim, which is directly affiliated with the IRGC Quds Force — rushed to publicly announce arrests in Khuzestan and explicitly link the detainees to the PMOI. They described individuals such as Mohsen Daghagheleh in Ahvaz as “main leaders” of the January 2026 protests, accusing them of distributing Molotov cocktails and participating in armed attacks on government and religious sites that injured security forces. This admission came just days after the NCRI had already warned the international community about these exact arrests and the regime’s attempts to fabricate charges against PMOI supporters.
The regime’s decision to rush out announcements linking PMOI supporters to the January 2026 protests while publicizing other arrests of PMOI-affiliated individuals reveals deep anxiety: it can no longer conceal the existence of a coordinated, nationwide resistance network operating under the PMOI banner.

Every new operation, commemoration of executed martyrs, and act of defiance by Resistance Units further exposes the regime’s vulnerability. Rather than deterring activity, the wave of executions has only intensified internal resistance. By openly naming the PMOI as the organizing force behind protests and attacks, the mullahs are inadvertently confirming what they fear most — that an organized, disciplined resistance is actively preparing the ground for a decisive popular uprising capable of ending their four-decade dictatorship. The regime’s damage-control propaganda and heavy-handed security responses are not signs of strength; they are desperate attempts to contain a movement it knows is gaining unstoppable momentum.
