  • Masih Daneshvari Hospital: Is the actual COVID-19 death toll only 82,000 (the state control figure)? Or is it twice, or two and a half times that figure, 160,000 to 200,000? Therefore, we are announcing the wrong statistics. We are giving the wrong figures to the world. (State TV, June 14, 2021)
  • Professor at the University of Biotechnology: They (Two Deputy Health Ministers) said three million doses of a vaccine were supposed to be delivered, but given the cost was $20 per dose, we did not purchase it. These vaccines would have been purchased with the state currency rate. i.e., each dose will be 10 dollars, equal to 420,000 rials. Is the life of every Iranian not worth 420,000 rials? (State TV, June 14, 2021)
  • Hormozgan University of Medical Sciences: We have identified more than 1,000 positive COVID-19 cases in 24 hours. We had 500 COVID-19 patients hospitalized in the last outbreak; We now have 700. (Fars news agency, June 16, 2021)
  • Isfahan University of Medical Sciences: 201 COVID-19 patients were admitted in the past 24 hours, but only 140 patients were discharged. (Mehr news agency, June 16, 2021)
