In a shocking escalation of repression inside Iran, regime security forces opened fire on inmates in Dizel-Abad Prison in Kermanshah, killing at least 10 and wounding over 30 others, according to early reports from within the prison. The massacre unfolded after panic erupted following an Israeli airstrike on a nearby missile site operated by the Iranian Ministry of Defense.

The explosion reportedly shattered glass and shook the walls of the prison, located adjacent to the targeted military facility. Amid fears of further blasts and possible damage to the prison structure, inmates in wards 2, 3, and 8 protested and demanded to be moved to a safer location. Rather than de-escalate, prison authorities unleashed brutal force.

According to eyewitness accounts, the regime’s anti-riot Special Units responded to the unrest not with negotiation or evacuation, but with live ammunition.

“The special forces opened fire directly at unarmed, defenseless inmates who were merely trying to flee a danger zone. It was a deliberate and cold-blooded act,” said a preliminary report sourced from within the prison.

Sources also confirmed that some inmates had attempted to breach internal doors amid chaos and that tensions escalated when guards began beating detainees rather than offering protection.

“The prisoners insisted they be moved from areas where windows had shattered and where they feared further missile strikes. The regime’s answer was bullets,” the report added.

The massacre has been condemned by Iranian opposition groups. The Social Committee of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) called for immediate international intervention.

“We urge the UN and the Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in Iran to immediately investigate the Kermanshah prison massacre, identify the victims, and hold perpetrators accountable,” the PMOI said in a statement. It also called on locals in Dizel-Abad to report names and details of victims to raise international awareness.

Local sources say regime authorities are already attempting a cover-up.

“Officials are planning to falsely attribute the deaths to shrapnel from the airstrike, not their own gunfire,” one source noted.

This atrocity follows a disturbing pattern: a sharp rise in executions and violent crackdowns amid mounting unrest inside Iran. In just the past week, the regime has executed at least 41 people. The latest bloodshed underscores the growing panic of the clerical establishment in the face of rising resistance, deepening economic crisis, and increasing international pressure.

As protests, resistance activity, and international scrutiny mount, the regime’s response appears to be a grim return to brute force. The Dizel-Abad prison massacre now stands as another stain on Tehran’s human rights record—and a sobering reminder of what unchecked tyranny can unleash behind closed walls.
