Only The Iranian People Can Kick the Fascist Mullahs Out
The conflict between Israel and Iran marks a profound shift in the geopolitical landscape and demands a fundamental reassessment of the United Kingdom’s approach not only to Tehran but to the entire Middle East. Many long-held illusions have been shattered; stark realities have emerged with unprecedented clarity.
Foremost among these is the exposure of the Iranian regime’s profound weakness. The end of tyrannical rule is now far from a mere fantasy. Crucially, however, any genuine and enduring change must emanate from the Iranian people themselves and their organised resistance.
For too long, the British Government has prevaricated on designating Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a foreign terrorist organisation. This inertia persisted despite growing pressure from within the UK and across the wider Western world. Had we emulated the United States’ decisive 2019 action, we might have significantly deterred and disrupted Iran’s state-sponsored terrorism and its egregious human rights abuses.
Game Over for Iran – Three Policy Shifts the West Must Enact in Bold New Age
Recently, together with former MPs Liam Fox and David Jones, and veteran German politicians Peter Altmaier and Herta Däubler-Gmelin, we drafted a white paper proposing a new policy approach toward Iran. And right now the confrontation between Israel and Iran underscores the urgency of our proposal: a shift from engaging the regime to supporting the democratic opposition.
For more than four decades, Iran’s clerical regime has preserved its grip on power through a dual strategy: ruthless domestic repression and aggressive regional expansionism. Despite successive efforts by Western governments to moderate its behaviour through diplomacy and sanctions, Tehran continues to escalate its authoritarian and belligerent conduct — both at home and abroad.

Iran’s Regime Tells People to Take Shelter in Schools and Mosques as Bombings Continue
On the third day of the war between Israel and Iran’s regime (Sunday, June 15, 2025), mutual missile attacks and bombings intensified sharply, and extensive, heavy attacks in Tehran and other Iranian cities significantly heightened public anxiety. Meanwhile, amidst the news of relentless attacks and bombings, statements by Fatemeh Mohajerani, spokesperson for regime president Masoud Pezeshkian, who spoke of mosques and schools as shelters and safe havens for the worried populace, provoked intense anger and disgust.
Mohajerani stated on state television: “During attacks, naturally, mosques are one of the shelters for the people, and subways are set to be opened tonight and be available to the public, serving them 24 hours a day. We had previously designated schools as safe places. Many schools are recognized as safe locations. Therefore, they are places where people can go to take shelter.”

The event condemned the regime’s ongoing repression and demanded the immediate release of all political prisoners, while paying tribute to the martyrs of the Iranian Revolution—those executed or killed during uprisings.
Despite Rising University Enrollment, Iranian Regime Shuts Women Out of the Workforce
Despite a sharp increase in higher education among Iranian women in recent decades, the clerical regime continues to block their access to meaningful employment, reinforcing an outdated and discriminatory gender ideology that sidelines women as mere homemakers. A researcher at the Institute for Cultural and Civilizational Studies in Iran openly criticized the regime’s deeply embedded gender division of labor. (ILNA news agency, May 12, 2025)
The warnings by Khadijeh Keshavarz come amid rising frustration among Iranian women—particularly those with higher education degrees—who find themselves systematically excluded from the workforce. It appears that the regime has weaponized economic stagnation and official platforms to perpetuate systemic gender apartheid under the guise of tradition and culture.
Legal Profession under Siege – Part 2
In Iran under the rule of the Supreme Leader, the repression of lawyers goes far beyond arrests and threats. Systematic tools such as fabricated security charges, harsh prison sentences, flogging, exile, and permanent or temporary revocation of law licenses are employed to eliminate independent lawyers. This structural campaign not only undermines the independence of the legal profession but also fundamentally erodes the principle of fair trial. According to documented evidence, a large number of Iranian lawyers who have defended protesters, political prisoners, workers, dervishes, Baha’is, and other persecuted groups in recent years have faced heavy security-related charges.
Many of these lawyers have been repeatedly accused of “propaganda against the regime,” “assembly and collusion,” “insulting the Supreme Leader,” “forming illegal groups,” and “collaborating with hostile states.” They have been sentenced to long prison terms, flogging, disbarment, exile, and social deprivation.
Who was IRGC Intelligence Chief Mohammad Kazemi, killed in the recent strikes?
Mohammad Kazemi, along with IRGC commanders Hassan Mohaqeq and Mohsen Bagheri, was killed in an Israeli airstrike, just two days after the death of IRGC Commander-in-Chief Hossein Salami. Kazemi had replaced Hossein Taeb as the head of the IRGC Intelligence Organization in June 2022. On Thursday, June 23, 2022, Mohammad Kazemi was officially appointed by IRGC commander Hossein Salami as the new head of the IRGC Intelligence Organization. His appointment came amid growing internal unrest and power struggles within Iran’s security apparatus.
Iranian Regime Concerned Over Potential Cyberattacks Amid Rising Tensions with Israel and The West
Following escalating tensions between the Iranian regime and Israel, as well as the U.S. decision to evacuate some of its facilities in the Middle East, AFTA—the Strategic Center for the Security of Information Production and Exchange, affiliated with the office of the Iranian presidency—issued a warning to critical infrastructure and government facilities about the risk of cyberattacks. The Strategic Center for the Security of Information Production and Exchange (AFTA) issued a cyber alert to executive branch managers in a letter published in the media on Thursday, June 12.
According to the letter, the likelihood of cyberattacks targeting the regime’s organizations and infrastructure has increased.
Therefore, the regime ordered that security offices, IT managers, and technical staff remain on-call from June 11 to 21 and strictly implement all security protocols.
A Look into the Background of Mohammad Bagheri, The IRGC Commander Who Was Killed in the Recent Attacks
Major General Mohammad Hossein Afshardi, known as Mohammad Bagheri, served as the Chief of the General Staff of Iran’s armed forces from 2016 to 2025. After the 1979 revolution, Bagheri participated in the takeover of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran. He joined the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) that same year. According to his own claims, Mohammad Bagheri took part in all military operations during the eight-year Iran-Iraq war.
On June 28, 2016, Bagheri was appointed by regime supreme leader Ali Khamenei as the successor to Hassan Firouzabadi in the General Staff of the Armed Forces.
