Iran ‘Hiding Thousands of Centrifuges’ to Build Nuclear Bomb

The-Telegraph

Iran has hidden sites housing “hundreds if not thousands” of advanced centrifuges capable of producing weapons-grade uranium, an expert on Iran’s nuclear programme said. The regime also moved much of its highly enriched uranium to a secret location before the US was able to bomb the Islamic republic’s three known nuclear facilities, they added.

It means Tehran could have all the capabilities to build a nuclear bomb, said Sima Shine, an expert on Iran’s nuclear programme who has worked within the Israeli military establishment for more than 30 years.

These gatherings marked the 44th anniversary of the June 20, 1981, uprising, a pivotal moment in Iran’s modern history, and served as a powerful testament to the unwavering commitment of the Iranian people to overthrow the ruling theocracy. The demonstrators’ chants and banners were not just a commemoration of the past; they were the global echo of the Resistance Units inside Iran who continue to challenge the regime’s apparatus of repression on a daily basis.

To understand the significance of the 2025 rallies, one must look back to June 20, 1981. On that day, the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) organized a peaceful demonstration in Tehran, which drew more than half a million people demanding that the nascent clerical regime respect their fundamental freedoms.

Increase in Arrests Across Various Cities in Iran; Ongoing Systematic Repression Under Judicial Orders

In recent days, a new wave of widespread arrests across different parts of Iran, including Fars Province, Jiroft, and Parsabad, has raised growing concerns about the intensification of security and judicial repression against citizens. Reports received from local sources and human rights organizations indicate that these arrests have often been carried out without judicial warrants and under conditions that violate legal procedures.

In Fars Province, several citizens who had previously participated in civil and social activities have been arrested by security forces. In many cases, these individuals were assaulted violently in front of their family members without prior notice and were taken to undisclosed locations. There is still no official information available on the status of some of those detained.

IRGC Names Mohammad Karami as Ground Forces Commander Amid Human Rights Concerns

Brigadier General Mohammad Karami has recently been appointed as the new commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Ground Forces (IRGC-GF). Before this, he served as the governor of Sistan and Baluchestan Province, where he had a long and notorious record of violent crackdowns on dissent.

Karami’s background shows his central role in all major acts of repression in the region. Prior to becoming governor, he led the IRGC’s Quds Headquarters in southeastern Iran—a unit responsible for securing the country’s volatile border areas.

During the nationwide protests of summer and fall 2022, especially the massacre in Zahedan on September 30, 2022—now known as “Bloody Friday of Zahedan”—Karami played a direct and undeniable role in the violent suppression of protesters. His actions drew condemnation from international human rights organizations and foreign governments alike.

Repression by Iran’s regime under the fire of war: Abduction, arrest, and internet shutdown

internet censorship in Iran

Since the onset of the war between Israel and Iran, numerous reports have emerged detailing the repression of citizens, arrests of civil activists, pressure on political prisoners, and global internet outages. In conditions where Israel issues evacuation warnings and the regime doesn’t even provide air raid sirens, access to life-saving information and demands for the right to education during wartime, access to shelters, and the release of prisoners have increased the pressure on activists, prisoners, and ordinary citizens.

Ali Younesi, an elite student at Sharif University and a medalist in the International Astronomy Olympiad, was arrested in March 2020 along with his friend Amirhossein Moradi. These two young men, both around twenty years old at the time, were accused of collaborating with the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), the largest opposition group to the Iranian regime. After months of solitary confinement, sustained pressure, and relentless interrogations—and over two years of legal limbo—each was sentenced to 16 years in prison.

What Is the Solution for Iran? A Question That Echoes Through Every Hour of War

With each passing hour of the escalating conflict between Iran and Israel, a pressing question grows louder in the hearts of Iranians who yearn for freedom and sovereignty: What is the solution for Iran? Could this war have been avoided? Was it inevitable?

This question is not new. It has lingered in the collective conscience of the Iranian people for over four decades—ever since 1979, when Ruhollah Khomeini hijacked the revolution and established the absolute rule of the Supreme Leader under the doctrine of Velayat-e-Faqih. From that moment forward, he systematically dismantled the people’s right to self-determination, suppressed fundamental freedoms, and turned Iran into a base for exporting extremism and terrorism.

Dissident to Newsmax: Iran May Be Hiding Nuclear Sites

newsmax-logo

An Iranian dissident leader who once exposed Tehran’s covert nuclear program warned on Newsmax on Monday that the regime’s history of “deception, lies, and hiding” suggests more undisclosed nuclear sites may still exist, despite recent U.S. and Israeli strikes.

“Well, it’s certainly [possible since] the Iranian regime has a history of deception, lies, and hiding,” Alireza Jafarzadeh, deputy director of the Washington office of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, or NCRI, told “Finnerty.”

“So, I wouldn’t be surprised if there are other [nuclear] sites,” he said.

The Iranian Regime Stands at the Precipice

townhall-logo

There’s a famous saying: “You have to know the past to understand the present.” The rapidly escalating crisis in Iran has echoes right back to the earliest weeks of the fundamentalist Islamic Republic. Following the overthrow of the Shah in 1979, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini hijacked the popular revolution and laid the foundations for his own vicious tyranny. The Iranian people soon realized the pitfall of swapping the savage autocracy of the hated Shah, for the cruel, fundamentalist oppression of the mullahs. They realized they had jumped from the frying pan into the fire. A massive uprising took place on June 20, 1981. Half a million protesters, organized by the People’s Mojahedin of Iran/Mujahedin-e Khalq (PMOI/MEK), rose up against Khomeini and against his nascent Islamic Republic and its toxic Velãyat-e faqih, or ‘guardianship of the Islamic jurist,’ constitution.

Iran Used Drug Traffickers to Stoke Trouble in France, Says Minister

PARIS, June 22 (Reuters) – France has evidence that Iran has used intermediaries in the past to hire drug traffickers to carry out activities in France on its behalf and could do so again, Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau said on Sunday.

“Iran uses proxies that are often linked to drug traffickers. They get a contract and don’t even know that the contract is linked to the Iranian regime,” Retailleau told LCI television. “But that’s the modality used by Iran on (our)national territory.”

Retailleau did not say what activities had been carried out in France and gave no specific evidence. Iran’s embassy was not immediately available for comment.

“It’s very simple. These are contracts through intermediaries that don’t link back to the regime,” Retailleau said.
