The West Should Recognize the Path to a Free Iran Is in the Hands of Its People
The uneasy truce between Israel and Iran casts a spotlight on the instability of Iran’s ruling theocracy. But beyond the headlines of missiles and counter-strikes lies a quieter revolution – one being waged not from foreign capitals or war rooms, but from city squares and prison cells inside Iran itself.
The world should recognise this resistance for what it is: an organised, legitimate force with a credible democratic vision. Most importantly, it must understand that the path to a free Iran cannot be paved by foreign intervention but only by the hands of the Iranian people.
For years, the Islamic Republic has teetered on the edge of collapse, not because of sanctions alone, but due to its internal rot. Endemic corruption, economic mismanagement, and violent suppression of dissent have eroded the regime’s foundations.

North Hills Home Was Iranian Human Smuggling Hub, CBP Says: 2 Arrested
LOS ANGELES COUNTY, Calif. – Federal agents arrested two people after a raid in North Hills on Friday afternoon, at a home they said was connected to a human smuggling hub.
What we know: SkyFOX was over a home on Napa Street in North Hills around 3 p.m. on Friday, as federal agents raided the home. Cameras captured officials taking at least one person into custody. U.S. Customs and Border Protection said agents were serving a warrant at the home connected an investigation into a human smuggling hub.
This is the second time agents were at home this week. Officials told FOX 11 that they arrested seven Iranian nationals at that address just days ago. Some of those arrested, they said, included some on the FBI’s Terror Watchlist and alleged associates of an Iranian human trafficking network.
The Regime in Tehran Can Only Fall Through the Iranian People’s Own Struggle
In a speech on June 24, Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), reiterated her message of the Third Option – a peaceful yet resolute alternative to both foreign military intervention and diplomatic appeasement. According to her, the regime in Tehran can only fall through the Iranian people’s own struggle.
– The proposal for a ceasefire and an end to the war is an important step forward for the Third Option:
Neither war nor appeasement, but a real alternative – regime change through the efforts of the Iranian people and an organized resistance, said Maryam Rajavi on June 24, 2025.
On the same day, the news agency Reuters reported on her statements, quoting the following among others:
– The Iranian people, through a century of struggle and at great cost in blood and suffering, have repeatedly rejected both the Shah’s monarchy and the mullahs’ theocracy through popular uprisings.
Obama’s Former DHS Secretary Sounds Alarm on Iranian Sleeper Cells, Calls It Concern of ‘Highest Magnitude’
Americans are being urged to remain vigilant following the U.S. bombing of nuclear sites in Iran over the weekend and a series of arrests involving Iranian nationals inside the United States. The former Homeland Security Secretary under President Barack Obama is warning that the threat of terror sleeper cells on American soil is a major concern for law enforcement.
“The presence in this country of undocumented migrants or Iranian nationals who have links to Hezbollah, IRGC, is, in my judgment, a domestic law enforcement concern of the highest magnitude,” said former DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson during an interview on “Fox & Friends,” Wednesday.

Maryam Rajavi’s Message of Condolence on the Passing of Georges-Henri Beauthier
Maryam Rajavi’s message: “With our deepest condolences, we mourn the passing of Mr. Georges-Henri Beauthier, one of Belgium’s most honorable lawyers and a distinguished figure in the country’s judicial system, who left us on June 24. With over 50 years of professional experience, Mr. Beauthier was a staunch defender of human rights and democracy. “He was involved in some of the most significant legal cases in Belgium over the past half-century. Notably, he played a courageous role in the 2018 criminal case concerning the attempted bombing in Villepinte, Paris, orchestrated by a terrorist diplomat of the Iranian regime. His efforts were instrumental in preventing the release and extradition of the perpetrator to Iran.”
Maryam Rajavi Holds Talks with US Congressman Randy Weber Online
Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), welcomed the proposal for a ceasefire and the cessation of foreign military conflict. During an online meeting with Congressman Randy Weber (R-TX), she emphasized three key points:
1. The fundamental conflict in Iran over the past 46 years has been the struggle of the Iranian people and their Resistance against the ruling religious dictatorship for freedom and democracy. This core struggle must be recognized.
2. The only viable solution is regime change, brought about by the Iranian people and their organized Resistance. Peace and security in the region are contingent upon this transformation.
3. When speaking of regime change, we are not asking for foreign military intervention or financial support from the United States or any other country.
Rajavi elaborated that the movement for regime change in Iran is led by the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) and its Resistance Units.
Khamenei’s Desperate Narrative to Deflect His Inevitable Overthrow by the Iranian People
Three days after a devastating 12-day conflict and a U.S.-brokered ceasefire, the Iranian regime’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei finally emerged from his reported hiding place with a video message. His prerecorded video address was not a triumphant declaration but of a desperate attempt to spin a catastrophic military and political setback into a fictitious victory. With over 600 Iranians killed and the regime’s nuclear infrastructure in ruins, Khamenei’s ridiculous narratives and hollow congratulations were a transparent effort to save face before a domestic and international audience that knows the truth.
In his address, Khamenei boldly claimed that the “Zionist regime… was almost destroyed and crushed” by the might of his regime. This assertion stands in stark contrast to the grim reality on the ground. The conflict saw Iran’s most critical strategic assets targeted, with massive U.S. bombing attacks striking its main nuclear facility at Fordow with bunker-buster bombs.
In Qarchak Prison, Female Political Prisoners Transferred from Evin Face Deplorable Conditions
Following the destruction of the administrative and entry facilities of Evin Prison on June 23, some 70 female political prisoners were suddenly and without prior notice transferred to Qarchak Prison in Varamin, in violation of the principle of separation of crimes. The move was executed with alarming speed, chaos, and under intense security, triggering widespread concern about the fate of relocated prisoners.
Several women sustained injuries during the explosions at Evin Prison. However, due to stringent security restrictions, they were denied immediate medical attention.
Paris Exhibition Exposes Iran’s Human Rights Violations and Calls for Global Action
Paris, France – June 27, 2025 – Supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) held an exhibition to denounce the Iranian regime’s escalating human rights abuses, with a special focus on the recent surge in executions across the country.
Iran’s Regime Lays Groundwork for Expanded Executions
The Iranian regime’s Majlis (parliament) has passed a bill to intensify punishments related to espionage charges, coinciding with the arrest of more than 500 people accused of collaborating with Israel and about 300 others for their activity on social media platforms. These developments point to an increasingly repressive political environment in Iran. This trend has raised fears about the possible onset of a new wave of executions. Following Israel’s strikes on Iranian regime military and nuclear facilities on June 13, at least six individuals have been executed on charges of collaboration with Israel.
Repeated warnings by regime officials to citizens about cooperation with “hostile governments,” coupled with the hasty passage of legislation imposing harsher penalties for espionage-related charges, have heightened concerns that the regime is preparing to issue and carry out severe sentences, including executions, under the pretext of national security.
Day 15 – Ceasefire Holds, But Nuclear Standoff Deepens
-
The U.S. State Department announced that Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif regarding efforts to promote a lasting peace between Iran and Israel. Rubio emphasized in the call that “Iran must never obtain a nuclear weapon.” The phone call follows U.S. President Donald Trump’s announcement of a ceasefire earlier this week between Israel and Iran, ending a 12-day war that began with Israel’s first attack on June 13.
-
Iranian state media reported that the new law suspending cooperation with the IAEA was formally notified to regime’s President Masoud Pezeshkian by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf. According to Iranian regime law, the president must sign the legislation and forward it for implementation within five days, and it must be published within 72 hours of notification.

Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that no agreement has been reached to restart nuclear negotiations with the United States. He emphasized that while the regime is internally debating the issue, “no decision has yet been finalized,” and that future talks will be based on national interest, not emotional reactions—even in the face of military attacks.
