Iranians Rally in Scandinavian Countries to Support the Uprising Back Home
Today, September 24, supporters of the Iranian Resistance in Oslo (Norway), Stockholm, Gothenburg, and Malmo (Sweden) held gatherings and rallies to demonstrate their support for the uprising in Iran and call on the European governments to cut ties with the regime and stand with the Iranian people.

The Uprising in Iran Continued On Saturday
Today, September 24, marked the 9th day of the national uprising in Iran. So far, nationwide demonstrations and uprisings have been reported in more than 133 cities in 31 provinces.
Students at Tehran University protested outside the campus as they were prevented the place by security forces. Yet, the student defied the strict measures and gathered while calling for the death of the dictator.

Dreadful of the expansion of nationwide uprisings, local officials in Hamedan announced on Saturday that its universities will be closed for 2 weeks and all classes will be held virtually.
On the same day, the president of Lorestan University announced that the classes of this university at all academic levels will be postponed until the first week of October. In recent days, officials in Tehran and Tabriz had shut down their universities and claimed all in-person classes have been postponed due to the pandemic.

According to reports by local sources as well as human rights organizations, the clerical regime has launched a full-fledged crackdown campaign. The security forces are reportedly shooting at people and plainclothes agents continue to attack the protesters to single them out and transfer them to unknown locations via unregistered ambulances.

Today, September 24, supporters of the Iranian Resistance in France, the United Kingdom, and Germany held rallies to voice their support for the uprising inside Iran and call on the international community to cut ties with the Iranian regime and hold its state officials to account for cracking down on protesters.

Live Report: Over 100 Cities of 30 Provinces in Iran Report Protests
Protests resumed in Iran on Friday, September 23, amidst heavy security measures and internet blackouts caused by the regime. In Tabriz, people gathered at the Shahnaz Intersection and chanted “Death to the dictator!”
These protests began following the death of Mahsa Amini. Mahsa (Zhina) Amini, a 22-year-old woman from the city of Saqqez in Kurdistan Province, western Iran, who traveled to Tehran with her family, was arrested on Tuesday, September 13, at the entry of Haqqani Highway by the regime’s so-called “Guidance Patrol” and transferred to the “Moral Security” agency.
After Zhina Amini’s Death, Iran Sees Arbitrary Arrests Ramped Up
With the escalation of protests throughout Iran in the wake of Zhina Amini’s murder by the Morality Police (Guidance Patrols) in Tehran, the state security forces have embarked on a wave of arbitrary arrests.
Faranak Rafii, an environmentalist and women’s rights activist, was arrested in Sanandaj on September 18, 2022, and taken to an unknown location. On September 19, 2022, security forces in Sanandaj launched simultaneous raids on the residences of Mahrou Hedayati and Bahar Zangiband and arrested them.
Iran’s Chief Justice Calls for “Immediate and Deterrent Action” Against Protesters
Iran’s Chief Justice has given green light to the judicial authorities to crush protests ongoing in Iran over the death in custody of Mahsa Amini. On Thursday, September 22, Iran’s Chief Justice Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei called for “immediate and deterrent action” by the country’s Attorney General and judicial authorities against “the main disturbing elements and professional rioters.”
According to the state-run ILNA news agency, Mohseni Ejei said in a call to prosecutors across the country that this action should be taken against people who “damage public and government property, disobey the police, and are related to foreign spy services.”
Iran Arrests Activists Over Mahsa Amini Protests
The state security forces have arrested dozens of civil society activists and dissidents amid the nationwide protests over the death of a 22-year-old woman in police custody. In recent days, more than 80 Iranian cities have been the scene of mass protests. Reports indicate a new round of crackdown against civil activists with security forces raiding their homes and making arrests. Journalists, women’s rights activists, students, and former political prisoners are among those arrested in several cities across Iran.
