Iranians in Luxembourg Protest Executions in Iran

A group of Iranian residents in Luxembourg gathered in Place de Clairefontaine for a public protest and exhibition organized by the Association for Human Rights of Iranians and the Iranian Youth Association in Luxembourg. The event aimed to “raise awareness and denounce the accelerating wave of executions in Iran, calling on the Luxembourg government to take a firm stand and act against this ongoing injustice“.

The exhibition featured portraits of the victims of the 2022-2023 protests in Iran, as well as political prisoners who were executed during both the Shah’s and the Islamic Republic’s rule. The visuals drew significant public attention, turning the event into “a poignant reminder of the human cost of repression and the urgency of international solidarity“.

Iranian Truck Driver Strike Disrupts Transportation in Dozens of Cities

Washington-Examiner

A nationwide truck driver strike in Iran has entered its fifth day, reaching across nearly 100 cities and over two dozen provinces as it disrupts transportation routes across the country. As of Sunday, the strike had stretched into 93 cities and 27 provinces, with drivers protesting the government’s plans to introduce a tiered fuel pricing system that many truckers fear will become unsustainable, according to the National Council of Resistance of Iran, the political wing of dissident group People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran.

Maryam Rajavi, president-elect of the NCRI, praised the strike efforts over the weekend, saying any crackdowns from police or the government amplify their message rather than silence it.

“Uprising and resistance remain the only path to liberation from poverty, discrimination, unemployment, and the regime’s entrenched corruption,” Rajavi wrote in a post to X.

Regime Corruption Fuels Public Fury in Iran, Paving Way for Uprising and Overthrow

poverty-in-Iran

The Iranian people are grappling with an ever-worsening economic crisis, as official figures released by the clerical regime’s statistics center reveal a staggering 38.9% inflation rate for the month of Farvardin 1404 (March-April 2025) compared to the same period in the previous year.

This grim announcement marks only the beginning of the new Persian year, with the regime’s own media, such as Eqtesad Online, ominously warning that “more inflation and high prices are on the way.” This unbearable cost of living is not an unfortunate byproduct of external pressures but a direct consequence of the systemic corruption and plundering orchestrated by the ruling mullahs, with Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei at its helm. The deepening crisis is pushing the populace to a breaking point, increasingly fueling the potential for widespread uprisings aimed at toppling the regime.

School Van Overturns, Injuring Six Female Students

In yet another tragic accident involving school transport, a school van overturned on Saturday, May 24, 2025, in Alborz Province, injuring six female students and the driver.
While fortunately no lives were lost in this accident, the accident has once again raised serious concerns about the structural and regulatory deficiencies in Iran’s student transportation system.

This crash is neither the first of its kind nor likely the last. In recent years, several fatal incidents—such as a school van fire in Urmia and the overturning of a bus carrying gifted students in Kerman—have shocked public opinion. Yet, the response from the Ministry of Education has often amounted to little more than deafening silence or token actions, such as dismissing a mid-level official—moves that resemble erasing the problem rather than resolving it.

The Iranian Regime Has Used Contaminated Chemical Compounds in Gasoline Production

Iran Open Data Center, citing a confidential document from the Ministry of Oil, reported that in recent years, the Iranian regime has used hazardous and contaminated compounds to produce gasoline.

According to the report published on Sunday, May 25, the Iranian regime carried out a widespread and systematic campaign of “adding chemical compounds produced outside the refinery cycle” to compensate for the gasoline shortage in the country.

Spokesman Majlis National Security Commission: There Is No Hope for Negotiations

The spokesman for the Iranian regime’s Majlis (Parliament) National Security Commission told CNN that, given the U.S. stance requiring a complete halt to uranium enrichment, there is no hope for successful negotiations with the United States, and the regime is preparing an alternative plan.

Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesman for the regime’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, told CNN that given the American officials’ insistence on a complete halt to uranium enrichment inside Iran, “there is no hope” for successful negotiations with the U.S., and the regime is “preparing for Plan B” in the event talks collapse.

On Saturday, May 24, Rezaei told the outlet that the Iranian regime has become disillusioned with the nuclear negotiation process, explaining that the U.S. side continues to insist on zero enrichment, and the Iranian regime will never agree to zero enrichment. “That’s why we are exploring an alternative plan.” However, he did not specify what that plan would entail.

Nationwide Truck Drivers’ Strike Enters Fourth Day Amid Minister’s Absence

Thousands of truck and heavy vehicle drivers across Iran have entered the fourth consecutive day of a nationwide strike, bringing major sections of the country’s transportation network to a halt. The protest—sparked by long-standing grievances over poor working conditions, unpaid dues, and lack of union support—has rapidly evolved into one of the most significant labor actions in recent years.

As the strike intensifies and drivers from all provinces park their vehicles in protest, one question looms large: Where is the country’s Minister of Roads and Urban Development?

Now in its fourth day, the nationwide strike by truck and heavy vehicle drivers has brought a significant portion of Iran’s road transportation network to a standstill. From the northern provinces to the southern ports, and from the eastern borders to the western cities, drivers have parked their trucks and refused to load cargo—a unified act of defiance against systemic neglect, unbearable working conditions, and unmet demands.
