Leaked Confidential Documents Expose Tehran’s Fear of MEK Resistance Units

For years, the Iranian regime has tried to portray Iran’s protest movement as scattered, leaderless, and containable, while denying or downplaying the presence of PMOI/MEK Resistance Units. Yet recently revealed internal documents from the Security Councils of Tehran and Alborz Provinces expose a very different reality. Covering the years 2020 to 2025, these classified minutes and audio transcripts show that senior officials from the Intelligence Ministry, the IRGC, the police, and provincial authorities have repeatedly treated the Resistance Units not as a marginal issue, but as a persistent and expanding strategic threat.

This contradiction goes to the heart of Iran’s current political crisis. Since the December 2017 uprising, repeated nationwide revolts have shown the Iranian people’s rejection of both clerical rule and any return to dictatorship under another name. But experience has also shown that popular anger alone is not enough to overcome a regime built on organized repression. The Resistance Units have emerged as the organized force capable of giving protests direction, continuity, and staying power. The leaked documents themselves acknowledge that their activities have grown in both quantity and quality, that they have become more organized, and that they are able to rebuild, replace personnel, and move operations from one province to another despite arrests and crackdowns.

Iran Internet Blackout Passed Its 81st Day- Officials Warn of Consequences

High-speed network cables plugged into a data switch — the backbone of internet infrastructure

Simay Azadi – Iran  internet blackout passed its 81st day, exceeding 1,920 hours of restricted access, according to monitoring group NetBlocks. NetBlocks warned that Tehran is not only maintaining domestic internet controls but is also seeking broader influence over regional communications infrastructure.

The prolonged blackout comes as officials and state-linked media increasingly acknowledge public dissatisfaction over filtering policies, unequal internet access, and growing economic losses.

On May 17, 2026, the state-linked outlet Khabar Online quoted the regime’s MP Mohammad-Reza Pourdehghan criticizing a recent order issued by the regime’s President Masoud Pezeshkian to his Vice President Mohammad-Reza Aref regarding cyberspace policy.

Pourdehghan described the move as largely symbolic, stating:

“The order issued for Aref is more decorative or psychological in nature… People are tired of these rulings and attractive statements by government spokespeople. They want real action.”

He also referred to growing anger over unequal internet access and alleged preferential treatment under programs sometimes described as “pro internet” or “business internet.”

Mahsa Jalilian, 30, Formally Identified Among Slain Iran Protesters

TEHRAN— As the dust begins to settle on the historic, bloody nationwide uprising that swept through Iran over the winter, new details are emerging about the heavy price paid by the women on the frontlines. Among the newly confirmed casualties of the Iranian regime’s brutal crackdown on the January 2026 uprising is Mahsa Jalilian, a 30-year-old resistance fighter whose death was verified and officially announced today by the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK).

Mahsa Jalilian, a member of the organized PMOI Resistance Units, was shot directly by regime security forces on January 9, 2026, in the western city of Eslamabad-e Gharb. Previously listed as missing, her death highlights the distinct and perilous role young women have assumed in the ongoing fight to overthrow the clerical regime.

According to resistance sources, Mahsa Jalilian lost her life during the absolute peak of the regime’s suppressive backlash in early January. While thousands of citizens took to the streets, organized units actively moved to defend unarmed civilians and push back against state authorities.

Iran’s Agricultural Crisis Deepens Amid Fertilizer Shortages and Rising Import Dependence

Experts warn that soaring fertilizer prices, declining grain production, and disruptions to southern ports could push Iran’s agricultural sector toward collapse

The Iranian regime continues to insist that the country’s agricultural sector remains stable despite growing economic turmoil, maritime disruptions, and mounting shortages. Officials claim that most agricultural needs are produced domestically and that farmers still have adequate access to chemical fertilizers even after the effective closure of the Strait of Hormuz and the disruption of southern shipping routes.

However, reports from Iranian media outlets and assessments by independent experts paint a far more alarming picture.

Agricultural production in Iran has been declining steadily in recent years, and economists warn that soaring fertilizer prices, logistical disruptions, and reduced imports could severely worsen food insecurity and deepen the country’s economic crisis.

Some Iranian media outlets have already raised the question openly: Is Iran’s agricultural sector heading toward paralysis?

Iran Claims 6,500 ‘Spies’ Arrested — But the Numbers Don’t Add Up

On June 26, 2025, Iranian state media reported the arrest of alleged Israeli spies in Isfahan, central Iran

Conflicting arrest figures from Iranian authorities are fueling concerns over political executions and mass detentions.

In recent weeks, statements by the commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Law Enforcement Command regarding spies arrested in recent mass detentions have triggered a wave of concern and ambiguity among human rights activists and political observers. Ahmadreza Radan, in remarks carried by domestic outlets including Hamshahri Online and Asr Iran, announced that “6,500 traitors and spies have been arrested from the beginning of the war up to today.” But a closer examination of these claims, and a comparison with the timeline and statistics involved, reveals clear contradictions and a troubling judicial trend directly linked to the recent wave of political executions in the country.

One of the most serious issues in the police commander’s remarks is the confusion surrounding the timeline of events. Radan stated in part of his speech that these arrests began “from the start of the war” — a war that began on March 1. Yet elsewhere in the same remarks, he emphasized that “the arrest of enemy soldiers and traitors involved in the January unrest is still continuing.”
