NCRI – 300 coal miners of South Pabdana, Zarand (South East of Iran) held protest rally demanding their unpaid wages on June 13 and 14 June, 2017. According to the state run news agency ILNA, workers of this trade Community are saying, that they have overdue wages, not paid for 6 to 8 months, adding: The main reasons for their protest is lack of employer’s attention of South Pabdana’s mine to their payment demands, as a result, we have gathered yesterday and today to protest with a number of our coworkers within the workplace (at the crossing of Zarand to Kerman highway).

According to these miner, some of their coworkers haven’t received their  salaries and wages since September 2016, and in between, some have not  been paid for three months.
